placenta previa in 2nd pg.should i have number 3.risk?

Does anyone know if you can get placenta previa twice?
My sil had pp 4 which covered her cervix.It was not picked up at scan and at 33 weeks had a hemmorage (sp) and nearly died.
She wants to have another child but is a bit nervous.
Any ideas

Not sure but my sis had PP and she had a pretty bad hemorrhage too but this was after her c section, she started clotting and they couldnt stop it, eventually they got it under control but she had to have a transfusion 6 pints in total it was really scary.

If your sis makes sure that midwives and consultants know about her previous PP4 then they will be able to scan her to look for it.
