...is anyone doing them? All my pregnancy books say they are a great way of possibly preventing tearing during the birth and helping things heal quickly afterwards. Ive been doing them whenever i remember but im not sure how many youre supposed to do? x
 
Do loads. Trust me. Lol. I tore even though I did my pelvic floor but after I had sofia I can control my wee, where as if you dont do them it becomes difficult tocontrol bladder and sometimes bum! So do them! Lol. X
 
Do you just sit and tighten yourself down there as if you're trying to stop yourself from having a pee?

I haven't been doing them that much, should really start!

Hey just sneaked in here when I saw the title Pelvic Floor Exercises. I'm qualified as an aerobics instructor and when I was doing the course that was my instructors favourite term. She used to make us do them every day we were on the course.

Yes all you do is tighten as if stopping pee and relax. Keep doing as often as possible. To make sure you are doing it correctly actually have ONE practice go when going to the toilet. That will show you what it should feel like. I say just have ONE practice go cos if you keep doing it for real it can lead to UTI.
 
My midwife advised me to do 3 rounds of 20 per day!:shock:

I don't do that many but perhaps I should start! I sometimes do them on the bus and sort of smile to myself cos it's my little secret exercise that nobody can see me doing!!!

Yeah the hosp said do it like 10 times a day and hold each one for 10seconds! What I find easy to remember to do them is when your having a wee just stop the flow and hold. (If you start doing them it will get easier esp as us pregnant ladies are always on the loo) x
 
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA wish u r funny. Ive not done any never done any in my first pregnancy mite try them out lol
 
I know I should be doing them but after doing it a couple of times I get fed up lol. I need to try harder or I will no doubt regret it x
 
I did them all the time with DS but been really naughty this time and the only time I've done them is two or three when I see this subject header! It's a good reminder, cheers mate! Lol
 
I try to do them while in brushing my teeth or doing my hair/makeup something I do everyday so I remember to do them
 
I done them lots, and when you have the big "O" your muscles also contract.. My MW told me it can help your pushes to be stronger when you are giving birth.. I hardly pushed at all, didn't tear or graze.. I could have been a lucky one or else they really did work x

Haha me too! I seem to hold.my breath everytime I do them!

 
oooh the big O ey? well thats deffo more fun than sitting here clenching my pelvic floor!!! x
 
doing them as i type!

i try and do one lot of 50 each day.

i'll do anything for an easier labour.
 
I've done them a few times every so often but I really need to start doing them 3 times a day. I really would like to control my pee after the baby lol! I need a daily reminder xx
