Well first of all yesterday logged into my ebay account and had to change my password as ebay said there was some unaccounted activity, then went into my ebay and someone is selling a honda goldwing motorbike through my accoutn in new york?!

Then tried to log into m email accoutn this morning and msn and they say my psasword is incorrect, so got through to my security question, typed in the answer and they said that is incorrect to. I think someone must have hacked into my accoutn and changed my passwords, getting worried as my credit card detaisl etc will be i there on orders, etc i have placed over past while.

Emailed hotmail from my work account and they have said they'll get back to me in 24 hours

Yeah i've contacted ebay and that's getting sorted, justy my blooming hotmail & msn to get sorted now

Think maybe you should contact your bank too - let them know so that if they see anything suspicious or payments that don't look right for your account they can contact you? You could even change your account number - which will be a pain but better than losing money

The one you mentioned about there being activity on your account. There is a sort of forum on eBay where they talk about them. Did you get it sorted?

This happend to my OH, his ebay account was hacked into and someone from texas was trying to sell a tractor/digger thing but all he did was change his password ( before they did ) and stop the auction because he has an ebay business and if he had got ebay involved they take your account off for weeks.

Though luckily enough all his passwords are different so nothing else was affected, sorry to hear about your misfourtunes vicki, its certainly not what you need right now

This happened to me last year and is a bummer to sort out. Good luck.
My security tip is to only ever check messages from ebay via your ebay account, not through email because the emails might not be genuine, they are so convincing.

This happened to me too, someone listed loads of necklaces under my user name and in 1 day ran up a bill of £140 in sellers fees! Ebay were brilliant and refunded me straight away, but it was a right pain in the arse cos I had to end all of the auctions which took ages and change my ebay and hotmail passwords. They only locked my account for about 1 or 2 days though, not weeks.
