I did windows updates yesterday on my laptop and it asked me if I wanted to update internet explorer/windows live so I did.
Last night when I used computer again for first time since doing so I went to log into my hotmail account- saved on my favourites and normally does it automatically- I had to retype the password which I did- the correct one, spelt correctly and using lower case etc and it said it was wrong. IT is not bl**dy wrong
Now I have tried it so many times that it thinks I am trying to hack my account and wants me to go through security checks to give me a new password. This is the only email address I use and I have had it 6y. I have no idea the answers to the questions- one is postcode- I moved house loads around the time I signed up due to a bad breakup anf have no idea what the postcode was. It also says it will send it to an alternate email address that I assume would need to be registered at the time and as it was my first email address I probably didn't put down an alternative as I wouldn't have one.
I don't have any important stored emails etc that I can't live without but it is more the address book that is the issue
SOOOO anyway, sorry for the rant- watch out if you do the update because I have checked on line and it seems other people have had this issue too, not just me.
If anyone can help, that would be great
