im applying for Marleys first British passport now that his italian one has expired. im a bit confused on what documents i need to send tho! ive read the leaflet and looked online but its conusing! i figured i have to send his british birth certificate and mine also? anything else? i havent included any of marios details as he doesnt have a british passport.

does anyone know how long it takes to get back? im planning on paying the £8ish extra to do check & registered sending!

sorry not going to be much help other than can you call your local post office and get their advice over the phone?

do you have a british passport? if youve put your passport number on the form this counts as a document, cos obvs they can just look up your passport details to confirm your identirty.

The only things I sent were the form, the 2 photos, his birth certificate (the long one) and the payment form.

if youre worried about it, you can do post office check & send service, they make sure youve got all the righ tstuff pefore you post it off.

The post office can help. Don't forget to have the photos signed on the back by a professional. It helps if you know someone as a friend like a policeman or doctor, otherwise they tend to charge. It is often about £25 too!!
