Hi I'm probably over reacting but I found out I was pregnant on Wednesday I'm about 4 weeks and for past two days have been having stitch like pains in my left side. I know I didn't have this with my first but already its very different anyway I'm just a bit concerned, is this normal? It's not a constant pain and hurts like a stitch/pulled muscle.
Thanks

Hey Hun

I've had this all the time and the midwife said it's totally normal. I was especially worried that it hurt ALOT everytime I sneeze or cough but again it's normal.

Mention it to your midwife anyway just to be on the safe side xx

Thanks I haven't even been to docs yet cos been a busy week but will do it on Monday thanks again

It does seem to be quite common to get random pains in random places. Sometimes I wake up with really sharp pains in my wrists that hurt a lot - never had it before I was pregnant. I'm sure it's perfectly fine, but if you are worried as your midwife :)

hey, i just found out on tuesday and iv been having the same pain in the same place when i stretch or cough etc.

im glad u posted this cos its my 1st time and il b reading into every wee thing xx

I had crampy pains constantly up until 7 weeks, they seem to have settled now (which of course has worried me that they aren't there anymore) I know it's hard not to worry but as long as your not bleeding my understanding is that it's normal.

Thanks guys.
Hi again kezza one thing iv realised already is that every pregnancy is different, this one is nothing like my first I am completley exhausted (but I do have a 4 month old) I have some morning sickness but its completely random and comes and goes and my boobs have grown but I think that's it. The first time I had an addiction to omelettes, morning sickness all day and constantly hungry right from the start. I'm sure I will spend just as much time on here this time around.

I was the same as this. Lots of stretching and ligment discomfort going on whilst bean was snuggling in and uterus was stretching.

Got some quite bad pains sometimes which was scarey until I realised it was related to constipation

I've had exactly the same!! I have all sorts of pains though, one like stitch, cramps, back pains, chest pains, and can't help but worry all the time. It's reassuring to know lots of other have had the same :D x x x

it's most probably just your insides stretching to make a lovely home for your little baby to grow in!

yep..pains in side, pains in womb, pains in back.......pains in wrists!! oh the joys!!!!

every time i get a cramp i crap myself...but they havent been too sore..i think we just notice every twinge more when pregnant..xx

Good to have read this iv.not mentioned to hubby bout any of the pains iv had as not want to worry him esp after last time it all went wrong so have been worrying all by myself as usual prob for no reason u lot are the best for easing my mind xx
