strong sharp pains in front of hips - stretching?

Hi girls, Im 8 weeks pregnant with twins on Fri and this eve I have such strong sharp darts of what feels like a stitch-like pain coming every now and again, down around my hip bones. Since I ate some food there its gotten worse and is down my left side and sometimes my right . Ive had 2 scans already and all is fine but these pains are strong and sharp. I wouldnt have the greatest pain threshold but Im wondering is this just stretching? If it were mc related pains would it be more like af cramps? x
