Hi there,

I ordered some opks from zoom baby and I am a bit confused about the reading I have got.

It says to use them for 5 days in a row from CD11 (which is today for me). It suggests that I should see a feint line from today and that on O day I should see a line which is the same or darker than the control line. The problem is that I don't see a feint line..... does this mean that perhaps I don't ovulate or is it normal not to have a 2nd line until nearer O day?

Thanks in advance.

Update: Doh! didn't wait long enough, a very, very feint line has appeared!

hehe, glad it has appeared now. Also no line doesnt mean you dont ovulate,it just means you are not close to ovulation- there is no surge of hormone detected whatsoever.

Does a feint line mean that you definitely do ovulate?

yes and no! Basically you always produce the ov hormone... but when it gets close to OV time there is a surge of it causing the egg to be released. When there is a surge the line will match / be darker the colour of the control line. The egg will be released withing 24-36 hours after the surge.

xx
