OPKs/BD/FertileWindow - When did you??

Hello beautiful ladies & congrats on your BFP. I would like to ask when you BD and if you did OPKs/temped.

My OH hasn't got a high drive like me so would like to know if bd'ing just on and after my positive opk will be enough.

I have the same problem. I know roughly when I ovulate each month so try and be 1-2 days before. I've often read on google that it's more important to bd before your positive opk.

But then you can ovulate 12-36 hours after +opk? It's so confusing xx

It really is, there's so much conflicting informatiOn it's impossible to know what is right, you have to go with your gut. I have reflexology with a lady who specialises in fertility and has suffered from infertility herself. Her personal opinion is that most of the windows are shorter than we think. So must people ovulate within 12 hrs of a positive opk, the egg usually only lasts 8-12 hrs. Sperm mostly only lasts up to 48 hrs although that could be extended by using something like conceive plus. Obviously that's just her opinion, she's not medical.

However, if you do a bit of Internet research it often says once you get a positive opk it could be too late. For example, if you only opk once a day you could be catching the end of the surge, not the beginning. I guess the ideal would be a couple of days before then the day of.

I've heard of preseed lubricant but haven't used it so don't know how it is to use.

I used conceive plus for lubricant. I also used CB fertility sticks (the basic ones that show a circle if not ovulating and a smiley face if you are) I got my smiley CD16. I dtd CD15, CD16, CD17 and I think CD18 too. This is the cycle I got pregnant. Xx

Temping and OPKs using Kindara to track. My cycles are all over the place and so it's been helpful to manage my expectations on the months where I've OVd unexpectedly early and know we haven't Dtd at the best time. DH also struggles to go every other day for too long.

We dtd 2 days before and 2 days after I think I ovulated, I say think because I didn't temp or test, I get quite noticeable ewcm and also get ovulation pains which is quite handy albeit uncomfortable! xx
