I need to use the moon cup really as it always just falls straight out of me even when im lying with my legs and hips in the air. Sounds stupid though but tampons make me feel really sick and lightheaded im so sqeemish so I dunno whether id be able to use soft cups. I know I defo couldnt use them for af but not sure whether id be able to use them to catch the spermies, are they really easy to use? Xx

That's why I don't like using tampons and personally I avoid them like the plague.

Using the moon cup takes a lil getting used to but it is so comfortable (make sure you trim the stalk from the bottom, but get used to removal without it first), I can literally forget I'm wearing it. It is softer than tampons and sits lower so it doesn't aggravate the cervix like tampons do. Yes using it for af can get messy, but last af (I was very heavy last af - sorry for tmi here) I used cup and only used two towels as opposed to going through up a pack and a half of towels and that only because of how heavy I was I 'leaked' over the top lol. Personally I prefer using the moon cup for both af and for keeping the spermies where they need to be....
The only thing I would say is that using the moon cup is way different to using tampons, more comfortable and have less problems associated with them....

Wouldn't use them for AF as far too squeemish but I want to try them for after bd as I feel like it all just runs out of me!

I bought mine from amazon, but you can also buy them in boots.

The stalk is just a short piece of silicone that they put on to aid removal, however tbh I find it easier to just cut it off (or atleast to very short) as it becomes a bit of a dirt trap as well as being uncomfortable.

Hi ladies, hope you dont mind me butting in. Pls dont stress too much about not dtd enough... I only get to dtd once a month (sometimes twice if im lucky!) and i still managed to get pregnnant, it only takes one little spermie after all ..... have to keep telling myself this lol

Emma - your lines look good, i would say almost there but definetely in your fertile period

Have any of you tried preseed or conceive plus? I have used preseed and found this helped prevent the 'stuff' leaking out lol, and also helps if you dont get much ewcm (as i dont)

Thanks hon, it's so hard not to stress sometimes, but you are right, it only takes one! I've not tried either of those, guessing they are lubes or similar?

Yes they are sperm freindly lubricants, I used it because i wasn't getting much ewcm and was worried the swimmers wouldn't to where they were supposed to

I've only tried the preseed so cant comment on the other one, you insert the gel via a syringe type thing before dtd, you only a small bit as well not what it says on the pack.

Also there is also one called 'Balance activ conceive' which comes in a spray or gel, someone on here was talking about it cant remember who?? I was thinking of trying that this month..... x

I've seen that one in tescos, not sure about whether to try them. Generally I tend to have quite a bit of cm, on my 5th day of ewcm today (sorry tmi) so don't know if it would help, or make things too wet if you know what I mean? Lol xx

I've tryed the balance activ spray, conceive plus and preseed, I think my favourite out of them all was balance activ, it is not sticky at all, and just feels like your very wet, I found last month when using the preseed that quiet a bit came out afterwards and the conceive plus I found very sticky and thick, I'm trying the balance activ gel in applicators next month and will see how they are, I don't get any ewcm so have to use something. Stacesl13 you have have me hope as your right it does only take one little spermies to seal the deal. Millie I would get the disposable soft cups for now just so you can try that's what I'm doing xx

kirsty I don't get ewcm ive only had it once I don't get much cm to be honest, you say u don't get ewcm so you have to use something, so is that whats stopping me then cause I don't get ewcm?

They say that the ewcm helps to make the flow for sperm easier and so as I don't get it, (I did when I had implant in soon as had it taken out I wasn't getting any) I use the gel just for something to help aid the spermies in right direction. Also I've found that as we are always in a hurry when he has work that a little of that and it makes it easier and sometimes quicker as he also likes the feel xx
