Okay, tww driving me to mad thought process

I was thinking, if a fertalized egg doesn't implant until day 7/8 what's it doing in the meantime? If it's just floating about in there and I have a bath is it possible that some water might get in an flush it out?

I usually have baths but have only had showers since I ovulated 5 days ago

Actually thats a pretty good question! I have an admission too, I havnt had a bath (just showers) for a couple of weeks either cos im worried the hot water might bring on an MC (if I am preg that is lol)

Haha! I went swimming the day after I ovulated a few months ago .. and then felt really awful afterwards!!

The egg gets fertilised in the falopian tube and then takes 5-10 days to get down into the womb ... then is implants .... so I guess in theory we are safe with baths and swimming ....... but just to be safe it can't hurt to take showers for a few days instead of baths hey?!!

Dont worry, the cervix is firmly clamped shut! Also, to get there, it would have to pass through the vagina, and it would only do that unless put there by something (like semen is lol) or if there was a vacuum to suck it up. As none of us has vacuum vagina's, I think you're safe!

The bath thing is about the temperature, so make sure that your shower is also not hot. It's more about your body not being exposed to a sustained period of raised temperature, like during a fever or something. So a long hot bath might not be ok, but a long warm one is fine. I think someone on this forum described it as being any baths which raise the colour of your skin are too hot, which is a handy rule of thumb.
