Okay, embarrased that I don't know this

Is the 12 weeks scan internal or external? I think I have a male doctor doing mine and am a little nervous if it is internal.

Yep, definitely external so don't worry. Just drink LOADS before you go as it pushes the uterus up and gives a clearer scan

Internal scans aren't all that bad - they aren't the best either but there are worse things that you could have done.

When i had mine the lady was very discrete and i didn't feel uncomfortable at all.

I can certainlly say thought that the 12 week scan is an external one though!

Yeah Tots Hope, I have had a couple of internal scans once with this pregnancy and once after my loss. Just something about a man doing it puts me off. I can't expalin it and I guess they probably just see it as their job but I can't help it.

Anyway doesn't sound like I need to worry on that front
