Just used the doppler, and the babies heart beat went from rediculously slow, mybe 100bpm to normal again in a matter of seconds, theis is the third time this has happened, what the fook is happening, surly it isnt normal, im pretty sure its not mine or the pulse from the placenta, help!!!

I have never had a doppler so cant say for sure but Im sure I have read on here that the heartrate changes and drops and raises all the time! Though if your worried hun call the doc!

 Doppler can be the best and worst friend..

Are you sure your doppler is working properly? Wasn't the baby moving? That would explain the sudden change...
I have tried my doppler today and the pulse from placenta was nearly on top of baby's heartbeat and it was getting mixed up. I tried to put the doppler in to another angle and it worked.. I managed to hear the baby's heartbeat clearly afterwards.
I wouldn't worry about it and try again tomorrow. If the same happens, just give a call to your midwife, maybe you could pop in and get her to listen..
Hope everything is ok

infact it wasnt even 100bpm, alot less, maybe it was the placenta, im just worried as you know when you hear the heart beat when it sounds like a train/gallop it sounded like that and i didnt think the placenta sounded like that

Hun, it can be very confusing.. I heard all three today.. my heart, placenta puls and baby's hearbeat. Puls and heartbeat sound very similar.. I recognize my baby's hearbeat as it has a little whistle with each beat.

hey luv. how are you today? sorry i had to disappear last night.

did you sleep ok?

Using a doppler can be quite frustrating, although it sounds like you might have found a different sound maybe your heartbeat, as babies heartbeat would be between 120bpm and 160bpm.

I find babies heartbeat very very low down in my pelvis.....on my public hair line, although I find my own pulse in other places, even near my belly button!

I had a good try at finding my babies heartbeat again last night, and at first I knew I was picking up my heartbeat as it was around 94bpm, it took me a while to find babies.......but when I did I knew it was as it was at 143bpm.

Good luck!!!

When I was using my dopplar I would find the baby's heartbeat and then the baby would move and I would hear my own heartbeat. Could this be whats happening?

I recommend throwing away the doppler as it is freaking you out.
If you have worries call the midwife.
In a couple of weeks you will feel bubs kicking and can relax a litle .
Sorry no help but i really think those things just cause panic.

Don't feel silly about speaking to your mw / gp about it. If it puts your mind at ease then its worth doing!
