.......ive decided to bite the bullet and get to the doctors. yay me!

What i would really love to know is what to expect? i am so rediculously scared about going so just really want to hear from others that have been through that 1st doctors appointment and survived .

..........I did it!!! im so proud of myself! i thought i would get there and chicken out, but i didnt! I chatted to my very lovely (new) doctor and she was so reassuring. just got to go for my day 1 bloods next week the next bloods at the end of the cycle. I just had to update cos im so proud of myself for not bottling it.

You'll be fine Hun don't worry!

You will need to have a full blood count and check thyroid function and FSH on CD1, then you will need a CD21 blood test for Progesterone to check that you are ovulating properly.

They may want you to have an ultrasound and Hubby a semen analysis after you have had these things done you will get referred.

thank you. so what cd do you think its best to go to the dr? sorry im a complete novice to this as it took a while with my son but not this long so im in unknown waters here. i just want to be as prepared as i can be. my GP is a walk in so i can go 7 days a week, im in my 2ww at the moment.

I would go and see them this week then you'll have enough to get booked in for your CD1 blood tests.

Have you been using OPKs and do you have a regular cycle length?

i started uring opk this month just went by cm and how i felt up till now. my average cycle is 25 days. ill get myself to the doctors this week then. thanks

Hi!

I went to the doctor the other day and told him that we had been trying for a while (11 months) with no results. He gave me a referral to a specialist and than I will take it from there. It's good to just start the "prossess" I think
