October 2017 Mummies!

Hi All,

Just finally had my full booking in with the midwife and bloods taken, all seeming more real now and am starting to relax a bit, just hope am not premature in feeling relaxed!! x

Hi and welcome ATM!
Unfortunately, crinckles who started the thread didn't logged in for a long time so we could not update anyone's dates. When we will move in the second trimester ( which is soon omg) we will update with everyone s dates ! x

Allysa have u just to have a 24 hour ecg for precautions incase pregnancy puts a strain on ur heart?
Today has been a good day for me. I haven't been feeling sick as much today but I have eaten at regular intervals.
I am dreading tomorrow at work as it's such a long day. I can't wait until I can tell everyone on Monday after scan of all goes well as finding it a struggle to hide at work as feel so huge!

Evening,

What a long day at work, I'm knackered.
Officially told my management chain today. Immediate boss is pretty non plus but my senior boss is really happy, supportive, and keen to be flexible with it all. Had some really stressful and horrible meetings today, felt like I was being bullied (in a workload sense) by people more senior. Spoke to my senior boss about it all and he totally had my back, sorted it all, and gave me a verbal hug. Yay for nice people.

Feel like I have a minor bulge now- the lower part of my tummy is definitely poking out a bit and feels quite solid, not wobbly and fat. Also feeling some twinges. Nothing major, just stretching I think.

Allysa- how come the ECG is needed? Hopefully all OK and just a precaution.

Heather- yay, your scan is so soon. Although I bet it still feels like an age away!

Sounds like u had a rubbish day :(

The scan felt ages away when first booked but it's come round fast although these last few days are dragging and I can't wait although I am nervous.....

Great scan pic amythomas!

I've got my 12 week scan today - am so nervous, just praying everything is ok....
X

Well, I had night palpitations ( waking up with fasten heartbeat and slight pain in the left side) last year. Now I wanted to get all checked to make sure all is ok, especially now being pregnant. I had 2 ECG already and all was fine and normal. I was still concerned that episodes are happening in the night time that is why doctor decided to put me on 24 hrs ECG to see if anything happens during the night. I am not too concerned as I am feeling very well, more like a precaution.

Amy, sorry you had a long busy day at work. Must feel more relieved now telling into work. Friday today so don't stress too much x

Lea, everything crossed for you today , waiting for good news x

I ran for the tram tonight and omg it was a bad move my pelvis and hips are all sore.
Lea I hope everything went ok today x

Well scan was fine! Baby was initially on its head, completely upside down so she was properly shaking the wand to try and get it to move! Due date is 3rd October!!

Yay, that excellent news. And what a great scan pic. So pleased for you. x

Hey ladies,

Just catching up on thread!

I hope your tests go well Allysa, good luck.

I am loving all your scan pics....makes it all seem real. My scan on Tuesday morning....to say I am excited is an understatement!

Telling my mum tomorrow, after 8 weeks of secret keeping! The tiniest part of me feels sad as it'll no longer be our little secret :(

We are telling family this weekend as we have a family party tonight, so scan yesterday was perfect timing!

I don't really want to tell anyone either - will make it all seem real, lol!

I know what you mean Olivia. We told immediate family after the scan and although I had been waiting ages to share when it came to actually telling them it felt odd. I liked it being mine and my husbands secret (and ours!) And now my mum keeps 'checking in' with me, bless her.

I'm only having to wait til Wednesday for the next scan, but now I am impatient to see it again!

I liked it being just my secret - on both pregnancies, I waited for about 3 days before I told my husband, lol!
I was away skiing for this one, so I didn't want him to panic about me hurting myself, so left it until the end of the week, on the day I was due on!

Aww, what a lovely baby lea! Looking so perfect ! Everytime I see a scan I get more impatient for my one.
I am rubbish at keeping secrets from my close people. I called my OH straight away after test ( he was at work) and told him , he came home with tears in the eyes :) My family know as well, but i told them to not ask me anything about it until I say 12 weeks scan went well .

It s so lovely and sunny today! Really make me think about holidays . Have a nice weekend xx

So glad I'm not the only one who feels like this!!! I wonder how long I could get away with not telling anyone

Weather is also lovely here, will go for a nice walk later if the weather holds out :) We are going on holiday at the end of April, can't wait to get some heat! For those of you who have done the pregnancy thing before...we have booked to go away for a week and it happens to fall on my 16th week. Will I have my "16 week" appointment when I return? Just trying to figure out schedules :) Also are bloods taken again when we have our 12 week scans? I tried to look it up online but got mixed reviews, seemed to depend on your location? Curious :)
