October 2017 Mummies!

Ok ladies.....what do your boobs feel like? Before I got BFP and a couple of weeks after I had really tender boobs. It seemed to stop and didn't think much of it. Tonight the pain has come back with a vengeance :wall2: I'm getting a sharp pain which is more noticeable in my right boob, under my nipple and intense when I apply slight pressure to it. Just kind of freaking out as it's just started tonight from no where...has anyone else experienced this type of pain???

Olivia, you are not 'behind' in any way. If I could turn back time, I would probably have had children earlier...I was 27 when I had my first, now 33, and I feel exhausted by the whole thing! You are at the perfect age - and there is always a reason to not have a baby just yet, but if you think like that, it will keep getting put off and never get done! We are having extensive building work on our house, which means we are debted up to our eyeballs, I've had to put any kind of career progression on hold, but if it's meant to happen now, then it will do!

On a side note, I have woken up feeling really sick again...it's like being at week 6 again, I've managed to force down some scrambled egg but that's it. Got a stinking headache too. Part of me should be reassured by this - oh no, not in crazy preggo brain, where I've now convinced myself that something has gone wrong with the baby and my hormones are starting to drop back down - I think I'm losing the plot!
My boobs have never been that bad, Olivia. It's mainly my nipples have just felt really irritated and itchy. It might just be some intense growing pains, my boobs have got much bigger....

I remember when my friends started having kids a few years ago I felt like I would never be at that point, but here I am. But things could always be different, and I could have a stack of savings already in place, but that is definitely wishful thinking! I know me and my husband are very excited about this so who cares about anything else (still nervous to tell my parents!)

My boobs haven't really felt that different and haven't got bigger. They've ached a bit under my armpit but usually when I poke it, so I've stopped poking it. My nipples have been a bit tingly and itchy, but that's it. I have been feeling really sick this weekend though which is annoying cos I thought I was coming out of that. It seems to hit me more in the afternoons and evenings so that's something to look forward to in the morning.

Can't wait til the scan........

Ahh thanks guys :) I guess everything will work itself out in the end.

Boobs are ok today....maybe it was a few random growing pains or something! I'm insanely tired!!!! Might go to sleep soon!

How long until your scan Amy?

Its on Wednesday, cant believe its almost here as I feel like I've been waiting forever. I think I got the letter with the date of it when I was about 7 weeks so its been a long time coming. And I know these next two days will drag.

There's hopefully going to be a lot of lovely scan news soon for us all to post about, and probably a few days to relax before all the nerves and worries settle back in!

Just catching up....
Not long to go now Amy for ur scan how exciting! I have mine in a weeks time.
I have been having headaches and feeling so tired but most nights I am still awake for about 2 hours. I get up go for a pee and have a drink and a digestive biscuit.
It's 3.23 am and I am wide awake and so wanting a big glass of juice as I am so thirsty but I have my appointment at 9am to get bloods taken for diabetes. I have to get checked since my mum has diabetes. All was fine last pregnancy.
I am dreading not been able to eat until after 9am as eating helps ease the nausea.

Scan week for some of you ey! Very exciting and can't wait to hear all the happy news! I am just catching up on all the posts and wanted to say that it doesn't matter when it happens I don't think anyone can say they are 100% prepared, I am 36, I have an 11 year old son, I didn't think it would be that long between children or that it would be with different dads! Life throws curve balls all the time you just have to go with it, I see my little monster as a real blessing. I am calling it a monster as my skin has broken out like a teenagers and my boobs are both agony and itchy plus I now have nausea and dizziness, am 11 weeks 1 day today so am really pleased that all this has come kicking in this weekend, on top of the exhaustion! Hence the monster comment :) but I wouldn't have it any other way and we can only hope that for all of us it is a positive experience x

Deep for a Monday :) Morning by the way :)

So exciting Amy, I think your 12 week scan is the first around here.
I am having a terrible start of the week, I managed to fall asleep at 3 a.m and up at 6 a.m to go to work. Hope this day will fly by as I don 't know how I can survive.

So tired here with very little sleep last night and so thankful my little boy slept until after 7am this morning.
My face is terrible with spots my husband said to me this morning ur face is all blotchy u must be allergic to ur make up. I told him nope I had the spots before the make up went on and the make up was so help cover them up lol
It was a struggle this morning with having to starve myself for my bloods not even allowed a cuppa so it was water only.
My husband made my little boys breakfast then had toast himself oh it was the smell of toast that made things worse. They will get the results back tomorrow but midwife said no news is good news to hopefully won't hear from her x

Had my bloods taken almost 2 weeks ago and no results back until now. Maybe I should give them a ring or assume no news is good news?

Allysa I had my bloods taken at booking in appt and not heard anything back so I take it all was ok and we already knew I am rheasus negative so I am sure that's all that got reported lasted time. This was extra bloods I get to check for diabetes. I am so lucky I get extra blood tests and injections lol

Oh, I see . I rang my surgery, they said they only come back if further action is required . I was curious as I do not know even my blood type.
Heather I assume all is ok for you if they did not come back

Yeah that's what I am assuming as I am sure midwife would of mentioned anything today but she didn't.
Probably next time when u go to midwife they will say or it will be on ur notes which blood type u are.
I think I have another diabetes test later on

Ohh I was also wondering about blood test results....curious to know my blood type. Hopefully we will find out at next appointment...1 week to go! Our scans are approaching ladies!

I hope you all have a lovely week :) x

2 more weeks till my scan :( Anyway I am exciting and waiting for the other October mummies scans sooner. Had some sharp pain in my left side, seems to calmed down a little now.
My face gone crazy, been itchy all day, I am keep on touching and scratching it when I shouldn't. Spots started to appear hooray. Thank God for make-up.

Lovely week all x

I had a pain in my right side yesterday that came and went but had nothing since.
I have been hungry all day but don't really fancy anything so just been snacking on hot cross bun and then had some strawberries x

I'm trying to eat healthier now the sickness has calmed down! I just cannot stand the smell of fish, the texture of anything soft....mushrooms, salad etc. Yuck!!! I made an apple crumble tonight for OH...yuck :( I was having a few sharp pains on my right side but seems to have stopped for now. Going to buy a proper maternity bra tomorrow....so excited!!

Nausea is 90% gone and I started eating aliments which I couldn't earlier. I find it still difficult to eat meats, like Olivia, can't eat fish, avocado which was my favourite .This week I started well with healthy smoothies and I am packing lunches and snacks to work. Trying to clean up after last week when I had tons of crappy foods.
Exciting Olivia! My boobs were very swollen in the beginning but they went back to normal so a sport bra is fine to wear all day
11 weeks today :D

Hellooo, just me again. Sorry I've been absent, haven't really been able to face coming on here to be honest. The bleeding I was having got heavier and more like a period and I was losing clots. Gp said she thought I'd miscarriage and went for a scan after a week(today) to have a look.... Turns out there's still a sac and I have to go back in a week.

I'm exhausted and need a hug :'(

Oh no hellandglory - sorry you are having such a shit time...but you have a sac still, could they see anything else?
Surely if you miscarry, the sac would have gone...I remember passing the sac after my ectopic, it wasn't pleasant, but it was the start of everything. Sorry you are in limbo - but at least you have hope. How many weeks are you?
Xx
