October 2017 Mummies!

Morning all,

Hope you are all feeling well, am struggling today, had so little sleep as my boobs are killing me every time I roll over when asleep so it wakes me up, plus I have some form of allergic reaction which has made my face and eyes swell but I don't think I can take anything? Plus coming down with a cold! Really fun times! Any advice on anything I can take would be greatly appreciated, 9 weeks 5 days now, really nervous as I lost my last baby at 9 weeks 6 days :(

I didn't have any bloods done at my booking in appt - as far as I can remember I think they do mine at 12 week scan and 16 week appt...

My back is still hurting, didn't have this with my daughter....

Vickilou, how annoying with the midwife ! Hope you will hear soon from her .

Flick, everything will be just fine this time! Try to stay positive, I can't even imagine how you feel because I have not been through it but don't think about the past . Sorry for all girls who feel so poorly, I must say I am not feeling so bad lately, just cramps and very moody. Yesterday I had a terrible migraine but luckily today I woke up fine.

Lea, my midwife was quite concerned about bloods being taken , she told me to call to surgery to book it urgently because they must be taken before 9 weeks? I see in other areas doesn't have to be so early.. I was referred as low risk for the moment , but being first pregnancy they don't know what to expect, will see when the blood results will arrive.

I am feeling big today :mamafy:

Here we only have bloods taken at 16 weeks, but my booking app is on 20/3...then I find out on 21/3 if everything is okay.. Seems a bit pointless booking till I know but that's how they want to do it I guess.

I had my bloods taken at my booking appt (9w 1d), that was a 9 days ago and I've heard nothing back. I assume that if there was an issue they would be in touch. From what I can remember my next blood test will be at 16 weeks.

Not feeling too bad at the mo. Still a bit nauseous and very tired, but that may be partly because I'm being a bit lazy as well. Had loose bowels too (tmi I know) and I'm wondering if this is one of my symptoms. Maybe this is what I get instead of throwing up? Not sure which I'd prefer!

My auntie had the rhesus blood thing. Just means injections and a bit of extra monitoring (in case of knocks to the bump and etc) all fine with her and my cousin.

Also, in 2 days I've eaten 2 full broccoli...both in one sitting per day ha

Morning everyone,

How are you today? I am feeling tired and low and the only good point is that is Friday .

Hellandglory, wow 2 full broccoli, I am struggling to eat one small piece. Before the pregnancy I was eating a lot and enjoyed it, now I don't want to see it which I know is bad ..

I don't feel so pregnant anymore and I start to be scared. Looks like even nausea is gone.. I am having a slight nausea looking at some aliments but that is all. Everyday I am thinking what if my baby stopped developing? Sounds really crazy but I can't not think about that..

I am the same, I am incredibly bloated but just feel fat and not that pregnant? I feel like the wait to see the midwife (21st) is a lifetime away so am thinking of booking a reassurance scan, has anyone else had one?

I had a private scan for reassurance at 7 weeks as felt is far too long the wait until 12 weeks. Wish I would be more patient. If you feel you need it, you can do it for reassurance, otherwise you can wait for the NHS scan. It made me feel better after scan , but now after 2 weeks I start having the same thoughts : is it everything ok ?

I'm still bleeding and feel like my symptoms have vanished too, but I also think my mind is playing tricks on itself so I don't get my hopes up.

So sorry that you fell this way hellandglory... Wait for the next scan and see what is going on ..X

Hope everything goes okay for you hellandglory xxx For the last 2 days my ankles have been swollen! No idea why, I sit down all day in an office....

Yes, I had one 2 weeks ago and have another tomorrow because I want a better photo for my mother whom I will tell next week. I pay for them privately but I get a lovely USB and lots of photos

Finally heard from midwife (well saw her outside so nabbed her and spoke to her) will be the same lady as when I had my little boy :-) booking in appointment is next Friday and she's going to sort my scan card out so should get that in the post in next few days prob weeks knowing my luck lol

Thanks, do you go to anyone in particular (as in is it a chain)?

Hi Flick,
I have done my one on ultrasound-direct.com. I was happy with them and as well received many pictures of the scan. They are a big chain

Afternoon all,
So pleased its Friday, feeling so tired at the moment. I have to babysit my nephews tomorrow and I swear they will be asleep before me.
I finally gave in in Tescos today and bought all the things I wanted- chipsticks, chocolate, oven fries, etc (snuck some fruit in to try and be good, but I cant see the chipsticks lasting the night).

A few weeks ago I was really tempted by a reassurance scan but now I'm only 12 days away from the 12 week one so I'll just wait. I'm worried that as soon as I had one I would need more to prove it was still ok. I'm really worried as well but trying to stay positive. I've missed two periods, had positive tests, no bad cramping, no bleeding at all. And am so tired I could sleep all day, so I view that all as positive. It is hard to wait though. I suppose when we look back we'll feel like it raced passed!

I fell really tired as well, I basicly come home from work, change my clothes and straight in bed.I am not even cleaning or cooking as I used to, my husband joke that he will eat only take away until the birth. I assured him that after as well haha . Seriously now, hope to get my energy back soon.
