.. October 2016 Mummies - Third Trimester - Final Round ..

Woke up today and feeling so rough...

First day I've actually felt I'm pregnant.

Tired due to lack of sleep as bubs having a party inside , uncomfortable, heavy, sore, backache... 😟😟😟😟
Also we've not got anything ready/prepared yet. Not even thought of the nursery yet, but we've got a bit of time as the baby will be in with us initially.

9 weeks left... Where has the time gone?

Time as gone really quick and i think iv gone a bit overboard with the clothes can't help myself, everytime I see a cute outfit i just have to buy it! Not good on my bank balance!! Starting to pack hospital bags and the snuzpod is up and next to my bed, getting really excited now :) x

It was Bunnymomma...

I've got my 32 week appointment next week and it will be the first time I've properly seen a midwife.

I'm slightly panicking as worried that I've harmed my baby. I carried on as normal before finding out I was expecting, including foods you are suppose to avoid when pregnant (blue cheeses, eggs etc) and having sex.

Am I wrong to think all this has caused harm and what happens at a midwife check up?

Sorry if my questions sound mad, but still in a bit of shock I guess.

Wow congrats! What a surprise!
Don't worry to much (easier said than done, I know) my friend didn't know she was pregnant until she was giving birth!! She was only 20 at the time and was out getting wasted most weekends!! Her little girl is 10 now and just fine!

Enjoy the rest of the pregnancy journey until you meet your bundle of joy x

Hiya Ladies, after a trip to hospital two weeks ago as I thought my waters had gone , they swabbed & informed me last week that I'm positive for group B strep. Has anybody experienced this?

SLHRK I have the same thing- I haven't mentioned it but it's coming more and more daily! After I go to the toilet it always happens as well but sometimes just randomly. It doesn't smell or look like wee at all. Hope your ok. I had an extra scan and they said fluid was ok too? Let me know how you get on if you tell midwife. I've got an appointment 30th August so will let you know what they say xx

I will mention it to the midwife tomorrow and let you know what she says! I know that in early pregnancy I had some of the yellowish coloured discharge but they checked me for all kinds of infections and what not, and it was all normal. And my urine samples have been fine every time since! No signs of protein or anything. But we will see!

I've never had anything atal about group B strep mentioned, in all honesty I had to go google it as I didn't have a clue what it is! Hope it is all ok though!

I like to be organised and I have packed mine and little ones hospital bags, but every time I think I'm done I remember a bunch of other things that could go in! I don't have the room for it all!! Haha. Any of you guys got your bags packed? :) xx

I have mine and baby's bags packed. I think I have over packed but I would rather be prepared. I have packed for 5 days incase I have an emergency c section as I will most likely be induced

I have t personally, but a friend did. It's good that you know pre-delivery. They will give the baby antibiotics when born and all should be fine (I'm not sure if they give you any pre/during labour) the main thing is you know now x

I've packed our bag! Nearly all ready now. I've heard of strep B - what made you get tested for it?

How is everyone feeling? How are you getting all your household jobs done? I honestly can't bend down no more unless I do a frog impression.

Hope your all ok. Xx

Hello all!!

Not been on for a good while. Thought I'd best show face.

35 weeks today. And I finished work on Friday. I've did not bad.

Went shopping for some bit's today bit far from organised.

Hope you all are well.

And I feel bloody huge.

xxxxx

I'm back from my midwife, which was brought forward to today, instead of tomorrow.

She was really nice and eased all my fears and worries.

The baby is doing fine and is not breech (which I thought it was).

I was measured and I'm 35 weeks. She's not sure if this is because I could be a bit further on, or due to the size of the baby. I've got a growth scan on Thursday to check and will get an Amnio test, as I've not had this done.

Oh my, I could be having my baby in 5 weeks!! Better start getting things prepared....

I've still got another six weeks until my maternity leave begins. :(
Was told that my iron levels were low last time I saw the midwife so have been given iron tablets to take until the end now. Started taking them last week and (sorry if TMI) but they have turned my poo black! And they're making me need the loo several times a day. Anyone else on iron tablets?

I am hun :) and they've done exact same to me! Black poops, and I was warned they could either make me very constipated or have dihorrea! I had constipation before I took them and now I go regularly so they've worked out well for me haha x

Ah, glad it's not just me then! Seems to be just the thing for you though by the sound of it!
I've started to need the loo less now luckily. I guess my system just took a little while to settle down after starting taking the tablets. Would much prefer to be getting enough iron in through my food though instead. :(

I hope it's not too late to join you here??

I only discovered I was pregnant last month, as I thought I was going through the menopause (tired, faint, hormonal, mood swings).

The doctor and a scan confirmed it and I am now 31 weeks.

I didn't have a noticeable bump or feel any kicks, although I did put on a little bit of weight and had slight backache. I was told that this was because baby was lying towards my back, so the backache may have been the kicking. But I now have got a bump and can feel kicks now!

I'm due around 25 October. I'm still getting my head round the fact that I'm pregnant and going to be a Mum soon...

So happy though as never thought I'd become a Mum at the age of 45.

Big congratulations! Wow, that must have been a big surprise to find out with not a huge amount of time left before your due date!

Well ladies, I'm going to be the one to say it haha! We will all be having our little babas next month !!!

I had my growth scan and amnio test this morning...

I'm 35 weeks and my new due date is 4 October, so less than 5 weeks left!!

I also had an amnio test done and will get the results next Tuesday. It was a bit sore and I'm still a little tender, but OK.
Baby is doing well.

The cramping I had was probably braxton hicks, which are normal but if they intensify then it might be the start of contractions.

I was asked if i had started my birth plan and I said I had, but didn't know what to put. All I've put down is that I want my husband to be there and nothing else! I'm seeing the midwife about this on Tuesday when I get my amnio results.

We're going to look at ideas for the nursery at the weekend as well as start to look at prams.

Although I'm now feeling extremely heavy and bloomin' huge, I can't wait to meet our baby next month...
