.. October 2016 Mummies - Third Trimester - Final Round ..

Oh dear Claire, that's not great! Hope you are doing well Hun :) just out of curiosity, do your midwifes check to see if you are engaged or dilated? I've been informed today that mine won't do any checks until I am going for a sweep, which will be within a week of my due date. Slightly disappointed to be honest! But nothing I can do about it haha x

So at my midwife appointment on Thursday (36w 2d) I was told that my baby was still very much breech. I have now been referred to a consultant at the hospital and should get a scan date through by Monday. I have been told that they will schedule the scan to determine exactly how the baby is lying and then most likely, schedule a cesarean following that. I was rather upset on Thursday, although have come to accept it a bit more over the past couple of days.
As a non-baby person, (I wasn't interested in any of my nieces or nephews until they could walk) I'm worried that not delivering the baby myself will stop me from bonding with it. And not being able to drive for several weeks after, or not being able to run or walk for much longer than after a natural birth will leave me feeling miserable and with feelings of resentment towards the baby. My husband can have a week off work following the birth, but we have no family living nearby - they are all more than a 2 hour journey away.
Has anyone else had a cesarean before?
It would also mean that I would have a September baby, as it would be scheduled for the week after next - before I was due to begin maternity leave from work.

Hi SLHRK,

I saw my midwife last week and im 35 weeks and she told me I was 2/5th engaged. Wonder why yours wont check for you?? I know that even if baby is engaged now it can pop back out so maybe that's why they dont tell you??? Save you being even more disappointed??

Good luck.x

Got my baby's swing today, really want to put it up but trying to resist. Still haven't got a baby's name yet, has anyone else? x

Well I've been back to see them today, 36+3 and they just said that unless I feel anything is happening they don't check as it isn't necessary. I'm back for another growth scan on 26th of this month and I believe that if she is still measuring 2 weeks behind I will be induced then, but I am hoping this isn't the case. When measuring my bump with the tape measure I am showing 34 weeks, and at my growth scan last Wednesday I was put at 33+5, so we will see! Xx

We've managed to get first and middle girl and boy names in place, as we decided not to find out what we were having. We haven't shared either with anyone yet though, just in case they don't suit when the baby arrives, or someone else decides to take a fancy to our name choices first(!)

I am 37 weeks today :yay:

I feel like I'll go over though but I'll atleast be happy once I get to due date.

Still got some things to do about the house but I need to wait until I get paid. Which is in 2 weeks... so he had best just stayed put.

I've done the room. Baby won't be in there anyway but atleast I know it's done. Get my pram in the next week or so. We ended up going with Mothercare Roam in petrol blue mainly because the one I want isn't in. I didn't wanna wait and my mum was arsing about a bit so I just went for that one.

It's Jacksons last week at his PM sessions so all systems are go after this week. He is quite demanding and me constantly needing to do stuff is a bit pressing but we will get there. He asked the other day when I'd be having the baby. I think even he's getting fed up

xxxxx

It's been so hot today, cannot wait till it gets cooler which I am hoping soon! 4 weeks to go hopefully if I don't go over due. Is anyone's hips are hurting when they roll over in bed? It's so painful and when walking sometimes, never had that with my other two. Apart of me feels like baby will come either a week early or on due date but with my other two kids being late and having to be induced I'm not hoping to much lol, just hoping that I get a water birth
Both of my kids are constantly asking when baby is going to be here but still need to get some things when I get paid
Hope everyone is getting on ok with their pregnancy x

I surprisingly wasn't complaining about the heat today haha! Wasn't overly hot here, just ok! My hormones are mental tonight One of my cats has been really sick the past few days and I found a lump on her neck, and I've cried so much tonight because of it! Then it got me thinking about my dog that I grew up with, who got out to sleep 2 years ago and would you bet I was howling even more, what a muppet haha xx

So exciting that we will be having our babies next month. Claire can't believe your 37 weeks I remember your bfp! Time has gone fast!

Oh Mac you did so well working that much and those goes until now I think you deserve to go off now xx

hey this is the first time I've logged in this pregnancy - I used pregnancy forum lots for my first baby who I sadly miscarried at 13 weeks. I am now 35+3 and on team pink :) I can't wait!!!! getting sore now my due date is 16th October xx

Hello and welcome! Sorry to hear about your previous loss xx

How is everyone keeping? Im just exhausted these days, trying to get as much sleep in as possible. This whole pregnancy i haven't had much change in my breasts, theyve actually gotten smaller as Ive lost weight and my nipples have gotten darker, until today! I was a bit panicked as the tips of my nipples were pale and white and really stinging! After soo many Google searches with no answers i gave in and asked my mum, it was dried breastmilk i had leaked it a little. So embarrassed lol. Its all so glamorous!

Im really struggling diet wise, gestational diabetes is an absolute pain. Im really sticking to what dietician has said and levels are still a little out of target nothing major but its really bugging me. I cant sem to eat enough calories but i dont know how to increase it. Im eating nuts with every meal or snack but cant think of much else.
