Anyone else just cracking up breastfeeding? I feel its all i do. Is it just constant cluster feeding always? Haha just so blooming tired, my lb wants to be on me constantly, only sleeps in my arms that's it. Im exhausted. Ive an infection from c section wound which isnt helping matters either

Breast feeding is a lot harder than I thought, baby never seems satisfied when she has finished, always crying for more. I'm having to top up with formula anyway due to her losing too much weight after birth xx

Hi. Sorry haven't posted been so busy with all the family coming round to see the new arrival. I had my little man on the 25th October weighing 8lbs exactly and had him at 8:10 in the morning. He came so quick that I nearly had him in the hospital elevator going into the labour ward lol, and still nameless!!
So in love and smitten with him and the kids both adore him

I haven't had any problems so far with breastfeeding, she's feeding exclusively from me and always seems to get enough, even if she does look to be fed every 2 hours! She will only go longer if she is sleeping, but for me it hasn't been a problem so far. Only complaint with her feeding is she is sick at least once a day, but I think it's cause she is being greedy. Hope it gets easier for you though mac!

Oh congratulations Cookie! What a wee dote

The cluster feeding has settled down from last night, actually getting an hout ir two now on between! Woo! Jasmine my lb lost too much of birth weight too but im now just breastfeeding, the midwives in hosp topped him up with formula, has your lo weight gain been slow? We are still not at birth weight but he is gaining just a bit slowly.

We are still not at birth weight but he is gaining just a bit slowly.

She was 8lb 2oz when born, she went down to 7lb 5oz after five days. When they weighed her three days ago, she was up to 7lb 8oz. Midwife is coming back on Tuesday so I hope she is nearing her birth weight again xx

It wasn't so bad as we had Carter as another choice first time round so felt right.

Hope you get a name soon. My wee brother was baby for over a week until I picked Dylan over Declan. Kind of like Declan better now as an adult I'm sure it'll be perfect for him whatever you decide.

8lb is a good weight. People kept commenting how small Carter is but he didn't lose much he's 8lb 12 as of Friday and 50 cm. But it is a decent weight!

Hopefully one will come to mind soon. He had his heel prick today and she weighed him. He has dropt to 7lb 12 but they normal loose a bit of weight then gain it again

Cannot believe he is 5 days old already! X

Hello ladies! So on the 27th october at 15.55pm my little boy Theo Patrick decided to eventually arrive, at exactly 42 weeks, after two days in labour, a pessary, waters broken, oxytocin drip, pethidine, epidural and then forceps! The most traumatic experience I've ever been through yet it was so amazing and so worth it! I couldn't be happier!

That's a good drop think Carter lost 5% all in they're allowed upto 10 the MW says so that's good he didn't lose much. 7lb 12 is a good loss if that makes sense.

It flies in. Carter is 3 weeks and feeling heavier again so keen to see what he comes in at on Friday.

Do they do your newborn weights at 5 days there? Its 3 days here. My lb went from 8lb 7 to 7lb 8. So 11% loss, we had to stay in hosp for an extra 48 hours because of it. He was upto 8lb 2 on day 13 and gets weighed again tomorrow so hopefully hes went up a good bit.

Yeah Carter was born Sunday weighed the Friday he was 7 9 then 7 11 now 8 12. He didn't feed for like a full day though but this week he's averaged a oz a day. 3 week growth spurt is upon us too I think as he's feeding like crazy. He goes 3/4hr if asleep but inbetween if he's awake he waits like 2 hr lol xxxx

Should add my mw clinic was a Friday and they do the rounds after that. So thats why it was a Friday and now they just have stuck to week by week.

Oh congratulations ells bells. Sorry about the traumatic birth but baby is here and we'll and like you say one look at baby you don't give a damn what youv went through. Well done.

Hope you are all well ladies, is that everyone who is regulars on here had their little ones?

Aela went from 8lbs at birth, dropped to 7lbs 11oz at 3 days after birth, back up to 8lbs 6oz at 10 days old and now at 18 days old she is 8lbs 15 1/2oz, all through exclusively breastfeeding! So I am beyond happy that I can produce enough milk for her xx

Have all the October mummies had their babies ��my son is 5 weeks now cant believe how fast time has passed! He is being breastfed and formula fed too. He has started suffering from colic. Anyone else going through this. He settles to sleep then wakes up crying due to tummy pain.

Yes strong minded we've been battling colic and reflux since 2w. He's 4w now. We have tried everything even dr brown bottles
Infacol helped we use 2 drops but we have now switched to comfort milk to see if it helps. So far he's not been on it a full day but un settled periods have reduced and he fell asleep at 10 pm so will see how tonight goes.

It's hell. I feel your pain. Hope it settles soon.

Awk hello oct mummies how is everyone and their babies? My lb is being breadtfed hes not colicky i dont think but my he is windy, he was a bit whingey at times but not crying hard, i just now wind him constantly and i think its made a huge difference he seems a lot more settled now. Hes been on an antibiotic from birth and im not sure whether that is maybe the cause.

Anyone elses baby super alert? I thought newborns slept most of the time and were sleepy, he just sleeps for the odd ten minutes here and there and a good two hours in a solid block in the evening but thats it! Everyone has remarked how alert my lb is as a newborn. He's really holding his head up and looking about when hes on my chest, its amazing, every day im in awe at how much he is growing and developing!

My little girl is three weeks old already, breastfeeding and topping up with formula still. She tends to sleep for periods of two hours at a time which isn't too bad, allows me to get some sleep xx
