.. October 2016 Mummies - Second Trimester ..

Congratulations on team blue! My anomaly scan is next Friday too, but I cheated and had an early gender one .. Not going to tell them I already know and see if they say girl too! Are you finding out Mac? X

Absolutely hate the days where I have reduced movements! I feel like my tummy hasn't grew atal in the past week, and then I had some movements yesterday, but very minimal. Nothing atal so far today. And I know the midwife has told he that it's normal to have reduced movements but can't help but worry! Xx

I don't think you have to worry about reduced movement this early as they still have a lot of room to move around. I'm still not sure if I have felt baby yet.

My scan still seems so far away. Its not for another 2 weeks. I'm so impatient xx

My midwife told me to begin monitoring and counting my movements now, and has obviously assured me they will not be regular at this stage but if I feel nothing atal for days I've to get in contact :) xx

There is no set time - there used to be a certain amount of kicks, but it really is what your baby is usually like.

Ive been feeling kicks since 14w there were days that Id go here and there not feeling anything at that point, but from 16w after Ive felt daily movement and even now, he moves constantly - when I eat, drink, sit, lie. So if anything isnt normal for your babies movement routine, its always best to get checked out.

Usually is nothing because they sleep alot too as they grow - but its always worth checking.

Oh no! My partner didn't want to find out with our daughter and I told him we were lol so we did.. You're the one doing all the hard work so I reckon it's upto you!! This time he really wanted to find out and even asked at our dating scan - cheeky sod! X

Im quite lucky in the sense OH mainly follows my decisions about the pregnancy since Im the pregnant one

I think its probably safer not to know if one of you doesnt though, so your doing the right thing. I wouldnt like it if he knew the sex and I didnt - even if I didnt wanna know.

So many people say that! I had a lady say to me, why find out the sex it takes away the excitement of labour, thought to myself yeah cause its not exciting enough to meet the human youv been growing for 9m - Im not gonna go, oh I already know its a boy Ill not bother  Its a personal decision. Theres no better way I dont think.

You very well might see, we seen danglies with Jackson - so we knew before they actually told us then she says I think we can all agree boy - but with my gender scan, she pointed it out but it was less obvious with this one. Perhaps as I was only 16 weeks with this one, but even at the 20w, nothing overly apparent. So keep your eyes peeled ;)

OYeah I dont think I could do it against his wishes but I kinda want to wait as well! Haha, if i pushed it, hed def cave lol. I couldnt find out though and then not tell him, I wouldnt be able to hold my water! Gonna just wait and see at scan, hopefully i can get a bit of a clue haha! Hes gonna say straight off not to say sex just incase, damn i didnt think hed think to say lol.

Edit: Just adding something on to post. I weighed myself there and im still lighter than my booking appointment, should I worry? My BMI
Was 31 anyway which theyve very kindly reminded of every bloody time but im eating fine but iunno, thought id be gaining.

We had our scan and all looked OK, we are still team yellow! Very proud of my OH for long finding out because he really wanted to! Got a few more scans throughout rest of pregnancy xx

Any of you ladies looked into prams yet? My dads partner works in the only baby shop within my area and has got us a good deal on a Quinny speedi pram/buggy set, deposit is paid and we will just be paying this up! However she did say that if we changed our mind and wanted something else, we were to let her know! And I cannot stop going to the iCandy jogger (or all terrain as its now called!) We are dead set on a 3 wheeler as oh likes them better to manoeuvre, but we couldn't find any other 3 wheelers we liked ..until I saw this!! Think I will need to pop in and discuss this with her cause it's all I want now! Haha xx

I've got mine but it's in the shop. Its a 4 Wheeler 3in1 VIB in grey melange.

Good news about the scan Carla. Glad all is well.

Sorry that I've been a bit AWOL! I've been working away in Liverpool so everything's been rather hectic! I had my 20 week scan on Tuesday, he was being a little shite and kept wriggling around so took around 30 minutes to scan me, the sonographer told me that if he doesn't stop moving I'll have to come back after the next appointment! But luckily enough he cooperated in the end! :)

Still team blue! Measuring absolutely fine but I was told I had an anterior placenta, hens why I wondered why I wasn't feeling much movement! However the past week, I've been feeling full on kicks! Especially when I'm bursting for the wee and he kicks me in the bladder and when I'm sat down quietly in work or in bed!

That's all to report here though!

Hi all. Im due to have the whopping cough vaccine next week. Anyone else had it? Does it hurt lol

Pretty sure we're getting the oyster max 2 as it can be single or double and is great quality and well priced!! People keep telling me my lg won't need a buggy when baby comes (she'll be 2yr 4m) but I don't agree! I think if at least I get one which can be both, it won't be a waste of money if she suddenly wants to walk everywhere!

I'm having the whooping cough jab on Tuesday. Had it last time and it was fine, just got a bit of a dead arm from it! X

Whooping cough was like the bcg from school I thought. Tender stiff arm but otherwise fine.

Id prob get that buggy if LO was 2.4 tbh it's better to be safe and Jackson probably only started walking everywhere round about then but had I been pregnant back then I'd have got it just in case. I've used his in the winter too it's easier to lug a buggy through snow not so hard a baby and toddler... so good choice.

xxxx

The oyster max seems a great choice!

My stomach area has been so so sore, i assume its just stretching but oh my am i uncomfortable. Its achy more than anything had a bath with a lush bath ball (butterball i gighly recommend if youve dry skin) to try and cheer myself up but im just so grumpy and sore!

Hope everyone else feels better than i do lol

We think we have finally decided on the Recaro citylife buggy, they are the makers of sports car seats or something like that! ( my oh is a nutter for cars! And he got very excited when I found this buggy!) it looks lovely just gotta go and test it out when I return to England to check its high enough as me and oh are both very tall!! :)

We're lucky enough to have MIL buying the pram for us, we've ordered the Silver Cross Wayfarer and ordered when the free car seat offer was on so we got a great deal! xx

I have the MW in 10 days, which I am pleased about because I can hand in my MATB1 form and sort my MAT leave. Ill no doubt get whooping cough too. "yay"...

Im just keen to officially book my days so that I dont diddle into any more holidays - especially since the weather is super nice!

I've been an emotion wreck the past few days. I dropped my phone down the toilet - argh!!!! - got a new one sent the next day but lost a years worth of photos and took ages to sort the sim. Kept crying and getting super stressed out by the whole thing! Felt awful for my poor lg as she kept asking 'mummy, what's wrong?' And giving me cuddles, bless her. Damn hormones!! X

Had the midwife today :) she is happy with everything! Booked in for my glucose tolerance test, just ashame how it's happened haha! My weight was 90kg at my booking appointment, making my bmi .1 over :wall2: then today my weight is 88kg, so my bmi NOW is below the 30 which is considered the limit when you get put in for the GTT! Frustrating but just need to get it done haha. Got my matB form to hand in so can officially arrange maternity leave! I've had an extremely active little girly the past 3 days! I feel her move at least once every couple hours, and her movements are now so big I can see it :p x
