*** October 2015 Mummies ***

Feeling much better today, only slight nausea so far so no dashing to the toilets at the convention centre (day is not over yet though!). In relation to the flu jab I would have to say that some protection is better than none. I'm a big believer in vaccines (I'm a scientist), and I got all recommended jabs during last pregnancy & intend to get them all again in this pregnancy. The flu vaccine is developed against the known strains that are out at time of production but as you say the strains mutate so fast that your never going to get complete protection, but I feel for me that I would prefer to get what little protection is on offer. I only ever had the flu once & I hope to never have it again as I literally could not get out of bed for over a week, would definately not like to have it while pregnant!

Hi ladies, I just got my BFP today so very very estimated due date of October 21st :)

Hello asd1 and congratulations on your bfp!

I had my first obstetrician appointment yesterday. He was really nice and very thorough. I had a scan and he couldn't see anything so did a TV scan too and we saw our tiny weeny little bean which resembled a black dot more than anything else! It was pretty cool to see it all the same.

I told him about my low-ish 21 day progesterone levels and he's put me on progesterone suppositories. He took bloods but felt it was best to put me on the suppositories before he got the results, just to be on the safe side. Have another appointment in two weeks. Looking forward to seeing my dot already!

Fingers crossed the progesterone doesn't don't make me feel too rotten because apparently they make your symptoms so much worse! It'll be worth it in the long run for sure :D

Congratulations Asd1 and welcome :hugs:

Littletwix, you saw your little dot already! How cute
Hope all goes well with the progesterone shots and it doesn't make you feel unwell x

it's not shots of progesterone I'm on but suppositories which means I need to insert them you-know-where! yucky. Not the most pleasant thing in the world but if it keeps my little dot sticky then I'm ok with that :)

Oh dear  Of course we would do anything to ensure our babies are ok! I'm sure you'll be fine. Keep us posted x

I'm on the dreaded suppositories too littletwix. I'm a big fan as this was the thing we added in last time and i got my rainbow baby. Biggest problem I have side effect wise is how bloated they have made me, look 4 months pregnant already. One of my patients asked me this week if i was pregnant again - not going to keep this secret for long i think!

Oh and i spent 10mins heaving over the sink this morning too, so sickness is really ramping up this week.

I go on conference this afternoon. It was so sad saying goodbye to my baby, won't see her until friday now :-(

That's great to hear that it worked for you! the side effects are clearly horrible but if means more rainbows all round we're happy mummies. I think I'm a bit bloated already, definitely more hungry (I caved and got a croissant this morning).

How many weeks are you? I'm so sorry to hear you're feeling rotten :( hopefully the days at the conference fly and you will be united with your little one in no time x

Just saw your ticker after I posted - I see you're 6 weeks. Only another 6 left until you're off them!

I just had my first PROPER bout of nausea  I never had this with my son, was hoping to get away without it this time round too. Hah. Not so much, it appears. I just went to debone a chicken to prepare dinner, and the smell of the raw chicken meat made me retch. Blergh. Thankfully wasn't actually sick, and managed to finish what I was doing after a little break and by holding my breath mostly

It's just dawned on me that at 5+2 I'm not even half way to the 12 week scan. I'm on baby number 2 and although I know we need to appreciate every moment I really just want to be able to tell everyone and we're trying to hold off until we're 3 months! Arrrrgh!!!

My first scan is tomorrow I'm so nervous hope all is ok!

Welcome, sweetpamii :) (autocorrect wanted to say sweet panini :P)

Baby2sky, good luck at your scan tomorrow!

Morning ladies  welcome to new members hope everyone's well rested...

I keep having freaky nightmares :( it's a shame because I'm up for keeping a private dream journal and things but all I keep getting is horrible nightmares...I'm generally feeling good in waking life so at least it's not a double nightmare...anyone else the same?

Hi Staceymo,

I'm the same, keep getting really horrible nightmares every night and they are really awful!
I am also feeling very nauseous all day... and so tired! Last night I went to bed at 20:45 and woke up this morning still tired  OK, rant over!
