Tri hopping but stick to your calculations my private scan put Me back 4 days at 8 weeks, 12 week scan put me forward a week xx

Hi I'm so excited for us all. Still can't stop doing pregnancy tests lol. So had my daughter 6 years ago and wasn't aware of this nipt blood test back then so what's this? And do u have to ask for it? Does it really tell you the gender? Amazing x

It's only been around since 2012 and is a marvel of medicine in my eyes !! But unfortunately not avail on Nhs yet . I am going private. Dna from the baby are floating in our blood stream and they are tested for downs and couple other chromosome abnormalities . The babies sex cells are also detected so the gender can be 99% determined!

Oh but it costs £400 which is crazy amount but coz I am 42 I want to rule out downs before telling family

Well just experienced my first bout of projectile vomiting.

Raspberries, watermelon and strawberries all over my cream carpet.

Literally had no warning. Now sitting with a bucket in case it happens again.

I'm due Dec 21St (is) but my 3 boys were all 4 weeks early so this beanie may be a Nov baby afterall 😄
I got my bfp 2 days ago. A shock, but a wonderful one.

I FINALLY heard from maternity direct.... My scan is booked for 19th April - next Tuesday! Although I still haven't had my booking in so my scan will be before my midwife appointment....

Prettypee how far on are you? So exciting for your scan though!!

My 12 week scan on Thursday and I'm bricking it!! Scared something has gone wrong(story of my life!!). Been having really dull aches and pains right down in my pelvis today and had a feeling of everything just wanting to "pop" down there all day. Hope it's just stretching pains and everything is fine come Thursday.

How's everyone else? Really quiet on here recently xx

My lmp says 12 weeks on Tuesday so bang on for scan... I've had bad stretching pains I feel so full down there! It is quite in the Nov mummy's thread! But then we all seem to be suffering with sickness etc!

Just done yet another pregnancy test as obsessed and haven't done one for a few days now but gave in today! There's 2 lines but it's defo lighter than it has been! Now feeling like I'm losing the pregnancy and yes I know irrational! X

Try googling hook effect - explains why preg tests can get fainter the further into pregnancy you are, hopefully it is just that x

Meandmygirl I did a pregnancy test just yesterday and experienced the hook effect. I had two of the pound land ones and used the same wee sample for both. The second time I filled the pot with 2/3 water and 1/3 had my urine in and sure enough, the second test the line was darker. So it does happen xx

Great, I did about 50 tests in the first two weeks of this preg till I started to get the hook effect !! I Am slightly neurotic to say I the least 😁
