Girls I'm 8 weeks 4 days and I'm having a bit of a wobble. Is it silly for me to do a pregnancy test this far along? I ask because I did one about 2 weeks ago and had a panic because the line wasnt as dark as the control. So I diluted my wee and it was as dark so I gather it was the hook affect. My question is, do I test or is it going to end up doing more harm (to my sanity) than good? Xx

Had a phone call from a doctor at about 8.20 tonight. The urine they took at booking in grew an infection (what dr said) have to pick up antibiotics tomorow.
Didnt know i had a uti have had no symptoms.

It is totally addictive seeing those lines! I did do another test and sure my, lines came up nice and bold straight away. Although I know this doesn't ensure I'm in the safe zone, it certainly eases my anxiety... For now! Xx

Missy it's good they caught it and are treating it. Maybe it was in the very early stages which is great that they've picked it up xx

Hi Ladies, i will be 8 weeks tomorrow and suffering with nausea, I haven't been sick just feel rough most mornings. I know it could be a lot worse but wondered if anyone had any remedies. I have tried plain biscuits first thing in the morning which seemed to ease things but the last two days, have been bad again.

I don't like ginger so haven't tried ginger tea etc and wondered if anyone has tried sickness bands?

Can I join you all? I found out I was pregnant just before Easter and am 7 weeks today. I think my due date is 26 November. I've got two boys (7 & 9) who are so excited! We're keeping it quiet with everyone else until the 12 week scan, but it's crazy having this huge secret... Luckily I've had no sickness yet, but the nausea and tiredness are definitely here...

Hey ladies - everyone's a bit quiet by the looks of it, hope everyone's ok??

I got referred to early pregnancy unit (I know some of you already know ) and I had a scan today! I blubbed the moment the screen showed up!! We saw the heartbeat instantly and it was so magical! So so relieved that baby is ok. It's in the right place and all is well! I even got given 2 pictures without asking!! So my mind is finally put to rest and I can't wait for the 12 week scan now to see the difference It feels so much more real now!!

I got referred to early pregnancy unit (I know some of you already know ) and I had a scan today! I blubbed the moment the screen showed up!! We saw the heartbeat instantly and it was so magical! So so relieved that baby is ok. It's in the right place and all is well! I even got given 2 pictures without asking!! So my mind is finally put to rest and I can't wait for the 12 week scan now to see the difference It feels so much more real now!!

Those scan pictures are fantastic!!! So pleased everything is ok.

I'm ok - just counting down to the 12 week scan now (seems to be dragging!!). My symptoms seem to have calmed down - still want to eat the world and my boobs feel like they've been dipped in molten lava but hey ho!! Xx

There was a day this week where everything I put in my stomach returned 30 mins later which wasn't ideal! Yesterday I could have slept at my desk from 10am - I've never felt exhaustion like it!!

Yes, my scan is on the 21st - can't wait, just want it all out in the open now and for everyone to know - I'm crap at keeping my own secrets xx

hello, can i join you? i am 42 with a very unexpected pregnancy after presuming i was infertile and premenopausal! i am 9 wks and have had a couple of scans to confirm. i did not even tell my hubby till i was 8 weeks coz i just assumed from the statistics that i would miscarry! i have a ds age 8 and a ds age 2. it took 4 yrs and 9 rounds of clomid to conceive ds2 hence why this preg is a shock - esp as we were using condoms! (one must of popped). bit of a change from 4 years of having unprotected sex and still not conceiving naturally! i really dont think the human race are much closer to understanding fertility/infertility at all!!so much is a mystery and doesnt add up
we have some worries about work/finances with supporting a 3rd baby - but we will find a way. we have not told any family yet. i am nervous what my mother in law will say. thats gonna be the hard bit.
i feel so ill, nausea, blinding headaches, tired ness, all the usual. but its reassuring. i even have a bump already! thankfully my work scrubs are really baggy!! i am a vet nurse and work night shifts- 7 on and 7 off. that is a 92 hour week every other week. ugh!
anyway llooking forward to getting to know everyone

How's everyone's symptoms?

My insomnia hasn't been so bad but the nausea has ramped up. Also tired/breathless walking up stairs etc.

Glad I don't suffer with heart burn . I think my nausea is easing now , thank god ! Very tired though
I heard heart beat today Doppler at home but it's very fast 196 Bpm . Will try again in couple days and hope it's a more normal rate . My boys were about 160 at this stage
