Prettypee - when is your next scan?

Ok, its probably really stupid that I did the test now but I just did it (at work) and I think I can just about make out a ridiculously faint line (so faint I can't capture it on my phone camera and doubting whether I can see anything!) I am only 5+2 (or thought I was!) I had a wee at home just before 8 and did the test about 9.30 and I've had a couple of cups of tea. Do you think its possible that its too dilute? Surely it should show regardless if I've known I was preg for a week already? Do you think I'm not pregnant anymore?

I knew I shouldn't have bought those bloody tests!! It was only a cheap Morrisons one (all they had) and they were the only ones last week that didn't show a very good line so not sure if they are also not very good tests? Help!!!

Schell please don't panic hun, a line is still a line, you know what happened with my test last week, it was faulty, or it was just a crap test!!!!
Could you get a FRER to put your mind at ease? I know it helped me poas again even though others said not to,

I'm going to have to go out at lunch and get a better test I think. I'm just worrying now and thinking the worst. Analyzing every symptom or lack of!!

Just got my 12 week scan date through for the 21st April - 5 in weeks today!!! We will also see our little bubba all being well on the 29th March as well at the EPU. Breaks it up nicely (given everything continues as it is!!!) xx

Well they didn't seem concerned that I was definitely further along as they assume I'm wrong (obviously!) they set a scan up for the 1st April so that it gives plenty of time for baby and heartbeat to develop. They said that it doesn't necessarily matter if I only have yolk sac as some people take longer than others to progress at this stage....

Schell try not to worry. Definitely possible your wee would've been diluted - maybe try again later on or tomorrow morning with a long held wee? Fx for you!

Millers- congrats on scan date!! Im still under epu - haven't had a booking in appointment with midwife yet! They said they will hand me back to midwife after my next scan.... But when I said I haven't been booked in they ignored me! Not sure whether to book a seperate appointment at drs in meantime to get my notes started or whether to leave it? I'm concerned about leaving it as I don't want my 12 week scan delayed! Did you book in with midwife before epu??

Yes, we booked in with midwife and she referred us to epu for a reassurance scan due to previous losses. However on Friday I started getting shoulder pain so called midwife triage who sent me straight to EPU for a scan. I was 6+2 and everything is in the right place. We have a picture of a blur which I'm assured is a growing bean with a heartbeat!! So they moved forward our reassurance scan to the 29th. To be honest I was expecting them to cancel that appointment altogether seeing as we had a scan Friday. I would book a separate appointment with the midwife as she arranges the 12 week scan and your maternity exemption certificate. I was naughty though with the 12 week scan date - the appointment they sent was 28th April so would be 13 +1. I called and said we were on holiday so they have given me the week before - whoops hahaha!!! Xx

Last time my midwife didn't do my exemption certificate or even tell me it existed, i had to do it myself after Ashley was born... I'm still covered under my current one for another month!

Good tactic with the "holiday" though.... I think I should go ring to make book in apt now.... I'll call drs again!

I'm not going a single week over any appointment with this pregnancy - I'm a nervous wreck so I want it as close to 12 weeks as possible. That's bad of the midwife not to sort the certificate for you! The one at my local gp is awesome. When we booked in last Monday she said "why is your fave familiar?" So we explained about the ectopic etc. She was straight on with sorting EPU referral, exemption cert, flu jab, and also told me to take a break from work over this period when I've had the losses. She was lovely with us both - it amazes me how different they are from area to area x

I've not even thought about booking in with the midwife yet, what's the process? Do I make a Dr appointment? I'm 5+2 today

I was 5+5 (I think) when I booked in. With my gp practice you just make an appointment to book in with the midwife. i was reluctant to do so because of the losses and kept thinking I'd tempted fate by booking in early but had to to get the EPU referral xx

Thanks Prettypee, I hope so. My logic tells me it wouldn't be possible to have a negative without proper bleeding but who knows!! I wish I hadn't done it!!

Just an update for you all it looks like this one wasn't meant to be. Bleeding is much heavier now. I will go to the GP tomorrow just incase but I think it's the end of the road for me. I'm sad and a bit upset obviously but I'll be fine. If anything changes I will let you know.
