I had an absaloute massive nosebleed at like half 7 this morning, which left me being sick and fainting, should I go to the hospital to get baby checked out ? Im fine now just a headache, ate some chocolate to get sugar back in my body, MIL is away running out to get a doppler to check baby is ok, any ideas? xx

I've been having nose
Bleeds just thought it was the amount of blood rushing around at moment!! I think it will be fine x x

Ive had random nosebleeds hun. I think its quite normal in pregnancy. But let us know that everything is fine. Hope you are feeling ok now xxx

Thanks, MIL was rather worried 'cause I fainted. It wasn't because of blood or anything, I'm fine with blood, just the fact I lost so much of it I think. It was like turning a tap on full blast! I have also been getting chest pains and apparantly this is all signs of anemia (sp?) So gonna give the midwife a wee phone tomorrow and hopefully get and appt for tues, hopefully everything goes fine! x

I think thats your best bet huni, at least she might be able to put your mind at rest. Did you manage to hear LO on the doppler?xxx

MIL didn't manage to get one, argos had none in, so im ordering one off of ebay to keep myself at ease when things like this happens !

Baby will be fine hun, just the blood vessels in your nose going overtime and being weeke'd slightly for now. I got all snotty and light bleeding for about 6 weeks when first in tri2, like it was adjusting, but had no cold at all! very strange! all settled down after the 6 weeks tho

Well I have the midwife tomorrow at ten to 2 so will update everyone x

i had such a bad one the other night that i couldn't move to sort it out so it soaked my entire pillow :/ let up know how it goes with the mw xx

Hiya...Just wanted to tell that they are quite common at this time during pregnancy..I had for like 4 weeks during second trim and checked with midwife..If you do have running bleeding from nose then u need to go to A&E so that they can address it but its also a very common side effect of pregnancy..:) Drinking cold water did help me if you want to try that..

I havent had any pouring blood nose bleeds. But the inside of my nose is constantly sore and stingy and when I need to blow it there is often blood on the tissue. Have read in my books it is common in pregnancy.

ive heard nosebleeds in pregnancy are quite common - i didnt have them but had bleeding gums for a while! x
