No no to nail varnish in labour

I sat on a chair and put my foot on a stool in front of me by bending my leg sideways IYSWIM?! I was dead proud of that. I was so bored being overdue  cant believe they took it away for no reason. :shakehead:

i've only had one wax since being preggers and it KILLED!! so much more painful than normal.

i dont go all the way normally, i'm a wuss! the further 'in' you go the more it hurts :( so i go as high as i can bare!

sorry for the tmi but i just had a shower and had a 'tidy' down there..it was SO difficult!! i can barely reach and had to sit on a chair in the bathroom with a mirror so i didn't cut myself! maybe i should go all off at my next wax :oooo: xx

It does sting, but it's only momentary isn't it? I've been getting waxed for years and pregnancy has certainly made me more sensitive to it, to the point where I would wince whilst getting it done.
It's far easier though, I tried "trimming" myself and ended up making a proper hash of it  can't see past my belly lol

I'm farrrr too much of a wuss to get it waxed. Lmao I've had to get my OH to tidy it up a bit for me, as I can no longer see it!

yeah there was a definite difference in the pain since being preggers!

if i asked my OH to do it he'd run a mile lol! i wish he would though!! xx

I wondered how everyone was keeping trim lol. I've not done mine for months  and it's grim!! I wouldn't know where to start now lol.

Lol! I may attempt with mirror and chair at the weekend lol. Hoping OH will maybe come round to helping me! X

Shaving mirror on the toilet, slather on the shower hair removal cream! Use the sponge to remove in the shower with a good old rub! Can't really miss any then. Luckily my skin hasn't gone too sensitive or anything!

Gutted about nail varnish I've ALWAYS got my nails done! This preggo malarkey is like being back at school!

I always have as I'm a wuss! The underside I shave tho, if you know what I mean?

Wow, only just catching up on this. Really annoying as I have booked shellac finger and toe nails for beginning of December when I will be 36 weeks (the day before my office christmas party), my need to rethink this. Although, what will the hospital actually do if they can't get the nail varnish off, it's not like they can send me off to a salon if I'm in labour and need an emergency c-section?

Guess I'll check with my midwife at the next appointment.

they can put a pulse oxymeter on your ear or your toe if they cant get a reading off your finger, not ideal but there are ways around it.

oh god! no boby told us this!! i have just had acrylics done.... oops.... oh well... they prob wont still be on by the time she decides to pop...ooops...
good thread... i had no idea!!

going to have hair re dyed pink and all chopped off into a bob next week.... hope thats ok???!!

xxx

Lol they can't complain too much about your hair :) x

I had nail varnish on my toes and my finger nails. I was prepped for a c section and was in theatre and there was no problem having nail varnish on. X

In fact the more I think about it, I didn't have any in my toes. And the thing they put on your finger for your pulse kept losing my pulse so after a few hours in recovery they put it on my toe instead. Nobody said a word about it being the nail varnish though x
