No embryo or yolk sac seen on early scan?

I went for an early scan on thursday the 4th i thought i was 10w3d according to my doctor. According to the scan the sac is measuring 7w. The lady doing the scan told me im either earlier than i think or had a missed miscarraige. She did an vaginal scan. No pain or bleeding so far. Scheduled in for a repeat scan on Saturday but I'm worried sick. Could it be that it's just too early? When I went to the doctor their test was very faint. Clear blue came up 1-2 weeks. Judging by the measurements on the scan I was on 5 days preg when I did the clear blue. Has this happened to anyone before, is it possible we will see the baby on Saturday?

When was your LMP?
Honestly, it doesn't sound very positive. If you thought you were 10 weeks but the sac was only 7w without a yolk sac or fetal pole... It might be a blighted ovum. I hope I'm wrong but be prepared when going into the scan on Saturday.

Just wondering when your lmp was like kitana asked?

I had this in the past and it was a missed miscarriage. I went for an early private scan at 7 weeks due to previous mc, was told I was a week behind.something wasn’t right and I knew it, went for an nhs scan at 9 and was still measuring 6 weeks.
I know you’ll be very anxious and upset waiting until Saturday to find out. Good luck and keep us updated xxxx

When was your LMP?

My LMP was the 22nd April. I was on the Evra patch for 6 years. Came off it the end of January. Hoping this might have some part to play in it. Was in with my doctor this evening and she looked as devastated as I feel. She's referring me to the early pregnancy unit so they can scan me aswell as I did the last one privately and if anything needs to be done they can help me from there. It's gone from having no hope and miserable to trying to brave it out and have some hope after reading some success stories but now after my doc app I'm back to the beginning again. The sooner the better Saturday morning comes x

My LMP was 22nd of April. Ive explained a bit more in the response to kitana. Thank you very much for your well wishes. I can't wait for Saturday to happen so I can know for definite. The unknown is the worst xxx
