we seem to have cluster feeding again so im using it to get her to latch on finally. shes been so lazy that shes hardly been bothering but today shes actually done it a few times. im gonna keep her bottles the same times and just offer boob in between as much as she wants. wish me luck for sleep tonight lol

I'm doing the usual feeding from 7pm, she nearly dropped off at 11pm. But then coughed and woke herself up and started trying to break out the swaddle. Prob a bit hot as fairly warm here. So have changed her and doing another feed will then swaddle without a vest.
Hubby is snoring away already! I'm hoping she has another great night..... Tje problem with one good night is you want another one. Never had two decent ones in a row!
Good luck everyone!!! X

Henry has fed every 3 hours religiously all day which has been so nice to rely on and be able to plan around. I've changed so many nappies today I wouldn't even like to know how many there've been! Hope he sleeps tonight, just finishing a feed then hoping for at least a couple of hours before he wakes again. Hope you all have good nights ladies x

That's good bee, it is better when they are in a pattern! :-)

Vincent took an extra ounce last feed so i thought maybe he'd go a bit longer but no here we are 3 hours later as per usual lol he seems to go longer in the day between feeds and then every 2.5 to 3 hours at night it shoukd b the other way about! X

Harrison is up for the first feed of the night after going down at 8, he did stir at 11 but a dummy & a stroke did the trick. Going to give a couple of oz of formula then top up which he will reject after 2oz & then give boob, otherwise he will fall asleep on boob & be up in an hour!

Henry has decided a routine is made to be broken. Have had half an hours sleep so far tonight...am exhausted.

Quick question for those who BF lying down. After you have finished and little one is completely milk drunk, fallen asleep, do you just leave baby or do you wind them before you let them sleep? Sorry if this is a silly question x

I don't wind with lying down feeds. I usually fall asleep anyway.

Nighttime here so far. I'm feeling tearful as I'm so so tired now. Just won't settle. Has slept briefly next to me and briefly in basket. Got hysterical and wouldn't latch. Feeding now but very agitated. Not sure what's the matter, she's not usually like this. Poor thing. And poor me :'(

Oh Bex poor you, she's probably just crying coz she's over tired too unfortunately ;-( or maybe needs a big burp? I find if m is struggling to get one up, I lift him with my hands under his armpits so that his body stretches, then sit him forward and pat back with one arm under armpit holding him and seems to work?

I knew last night was a fluke as I am back up already.. Been awake quite a bit tonight though anyway as having bloody period cramps! Took 2 paracetamol before bed too but nothing! Just want it to come and go now, hate the brewing stage. Xxx

Anyone else here ?
Just wondering how long before your babies got into a little routine ?

Looks like few of us are up :-(

Xx

Yep I'm still up. Well my little man seemed to be in a routine from about 2 weeks, waking every 3-4 hours at night, but not really any routine during the day (just constant feeding).. But then it kept changing so sometimes bigger gaps, then smaller again. Apparently it's easier to try and establish a routine from about 12 weeks. From about 3 weeks I at least started doing the same things at the same time of a night before bed, but sometimes he wouldn't settle for ages anyway so didnt make much difference. I would say start trying from around 4 weeks, but go with babies appetite as opposed to anything you've read somewhere xx

J has been In more of a noticeable routine since about 6 weeks.

Bed at 9.45-10.30, up between 2.30-3.30
Then up at 6 or 6.30, then up for the day at 8.

He got into that himself x

Lo just woken for a feed. She went down at 11pm so quite pleased. Although she seems bit unsettled now. Not sure she will go back off quickly.

Just had second feed of the night, waiting for a minute before I lay her back down otherwise she's sick. Doesn't sound too bad that second feed is at 4am but not so great when you consider she was up for a good hour and a half, maybe more for the first feed! Had a mini breakthrough earlier though, normally she'll just doze back off on the boob then I'll wait a few minutes and put her back in her basket and hope she stays asleep. But earlier she just wouldn't settle so I put her in her basket awake and with a bit of help from me rocking to start with and then ewan the sheep she fell asleep on her own, yay! Xxx

I want to cry Vincent won't go to sleep I'm so tired and he's making so much noise whilst oh is sleeping peacefully! He's been up since 3am had a 5 oz bottle and will prob b up again at 6 which I'm dreading as he doesn't usually go back to sleep after that so ill b lucky to get another hours sleep from now till then I've had bout 3 hours broken sleep so far. I'm raging with oh as he suggested today that he would do the midnight feed to let me get some sleep which I thought great I can't wait it get some sleep but oh no did he hell get up and when I said to him what happened to u doin the midnight feed all I got was I'm tired. Excuse me?! Ru having a laugh?! Gonna go through him tomo! Y is everything left to us women?! X

Oh bless you Vic! Men! Im lucky to have one who does plenty of night feeds, but I really would be frustrated if he didn't do any. Especially the ones he said he would. Xx
