It took forever to get E off to sleep again. She just kept crying. OH went to sleep in another room in the end as he has a business trip today. Am so tired, I don't even remember what time I got R off to sleep!

I'm so done with this. I'm completely sleep deprived & I can barely function let alone look after a baby. He didn't sleep atall today, barely fed, cried most of the day. He finally went to sleep at 7 30, then he was up from 9 30-10. Then 1-2, and he's been up since 3 & its now 4 30. I have had 3 and a half hours sleep and I just want to leave him downstairs & go back to bed 
What a horrible mother I am.
I just can't cope anymore.

Oh SaraLouise, you poor thing. Could it still be pain from the operation that's bothering him?
I know what you mean about not functioning. E is running me ragged tonight. She went down ok again at 4 but has just woken up again at 5:30 crying. Am feeding her again, which probably isn't the solution, but its keeping her quiet.
Am meant to be going for a run in an hour but I feel like absolute shite.

Hannah did 5 hours in her Moses basket, straight! It's a Christmas miracle!! Gives me hope not every night will be awful.
Big hugs Saralouise I've had many nights when I've felt like that, sleep deprivation is seriously evil. It'll get better again xx

What a rough night! You are not a horrible mother just an extremely tired one. Do you gave anything to do today? You really need to try and get some sleep... Maybe Harrison will have some long naps as he's not slept much at night? IF he does you must too.

Meanwhile, can I just remind you how amazingly you coped when H was in hospital, you were brilliant. So you're certainly not a horrible mother!!! Everything is worse at night, always xxx

Sara I really hope things get better soon.
And you arr not a bad mother. Ill admit ive wanted to do the same a couple of times when im so tired and he just wouldnt settle.

Ah Saralouise you're absolutely not a bad mum. Sleep deprivation is awful and in the middle of the night everything seems awful. I really hope he settles a bit during the day today and you can manage a nap.
Bex, brilliant news about your 5 hour stretch!! The longest I've had is an hour. I'm so tired and midwife is coming today for Henry's 5day check so I need to be up and dressed in a few hours. Ugh x

Oh Sara and Sophie sorry you've had such awful nights ;-( sleep deprevation is awful and we all feel like that without it!
I has the worst night the night before last, literally got 3 hours adding it all up together, was so tired and upset all day yesterday and then last night, he slept 10:30 till 6:40!!!!! It was almost like an apology! I don't expect this every night as he was probably just really tired too, but I think your big night of sleep will be coming soon too so keep doing what you're doing, your doing great xxxx

We slept another 2.5 hours 6-8.30 am so not bad at all! It's probably a one off but I'll take it! My milk was flooding everywhere from the right side just now, as fed from left at 5am. Poor boob isn't used to such a gap between feeds!

Got a weigh in with HV today.... Eeek I'm nervous!
Beesmall, it takes time before they'll sleep for any length of time at all. Good luck with the mw check x

LO slept 10-2am which is the longest stretch we have had but then did a weird wet burp/choke thing which scared the crap out of me and her. So I was up watching her until 4am. She then slept until 5.15am went straight back down until hubby's alarm went off at 7.45am. So I'm guessing about 6.5 hours added up. Not too bad. Poor hubby went to work looking a bit tired as he was ever so good and stayed up with me cos I was worried. LO is oblivious now and happily asleep!

I don't think its his tummy bothering him as Hes been off pain meds for a while now & his wounds are basically healed.
Hes always been a terrible sleeper but recently its gotten so much worse.
I think he may have got my sore throat so I've made a doctors appt for him for later.
I just need some sleep!

I went for my run this morning. Was tired but am glad I went as it was good to get away & clear my head for a bit. E's been a nightmare all morning too & hasn't had a nap yet. Am feeding her now & hoping she'll go down after this. Have got friends coming round in a couple of hours & still need to tidy & make flapjacks!
