Nightfeeds Chat Thread

Hope it all goes ok at the docs SaraLouise. Let us know.

I went for my run this morning. Was tired but am glad I went as it was good to get away & clear my head for a bit. E's been a nightmare all morning too & hasn't had a nap yet. Am feeding her now & hoping she'll go down after this. Have got friends coming round in a couple of hours & still need to tidy & make flapjacks!

You're like some kind of supermum!!! I miss running. Not that I ever ran far, made me feel good though. Can't imagine getting back into that. Stupid section.

Well, we had our bedtime bottle at 10.45pm and we co-slept through to 6am, with a bit of sleepy boobie

I'm not going to stress about bedtime routines and getting her in her basket for now. The important thing is she is sleeping and I think it is helping her stay sleepy and learn that night time is for sleeping so that is good enough for now!

Umbongo, your baby is still really young still. You've got plenty of time to start running. I didn't start until E was 9 weeks & it was so hard & depressing how slow I was. Am still not nearly as fast as I used to be but I managed to do a triathlon 2 weekends ago & was happy with my time.

Well, E is still being a nightmare. She has only had a 15 min nap all morning and has just been crying. Gave her some calpol in the end.
Am feeding her now & my friends are due round. Hopefully she'll be ok.

Well Hannah is being wonderful this morning, she's so good in the day it's mad. Sleeps well and feeds. The health visitor said we're doing great and she's put on 11.5oz. Yaaaay. X

Umbongo she may still not know day and night difference so when she does she'll swap it over and sleep well at night :) x

It's great she slept well last night too. Probably not tonight though. You're probably right about not knowing the difference between night and day yet. We'll get there. Frankly she is an easy baby so far, despite the cluster feeding, I'm really lucky.

Well took Harrison to the docs & apparently he's got my virus & an inflamed throat, I guess that's why he's been so cranky!

Just got to give regular calpol & lots of cuddles & offer him boob often so he keeps hydrated x

awww poor little thing :( hope he feels better soon and you get some rest.

I think my LO is ill too, i've got some sort of virus as my throat is so sore and glands up, and shes so snuffly and sleepy...shes been asleep for almost 2 hours so I'm going to have to wake her soon for bedtime :/

xx

That's bad for H but good there is a reason! Hope you're both better soon x

:-( hope you both get well and get some rest very soon. Xx

Night time dreads are getting me already!! Max is really good some nights then terrible others. The hardest part is gettin him back to sleep after he wakes for a feed. It's infuriating. He is just awake and crys for what I can see as no reason?! I'm sure he has one but I have no idea what! He hasn't slept very much today so I'm hoping for a good night xx

My lo is so hungry tonight! She had right boob 6-6.30, bath, left boob 7 -7.45, then 2oz formula and now she's back on the right! She's been on twenty mins already prob cos there's not much milk left for her!

Xx

Amy that sounds horrible. I used to really hate not being able to work out what was wrong with J. Luckily he rarely did that at night. I imagine its so frustrating.

The other night when I put him down he was doing my head in! Just moaning and whiney and small cries mixed with the odd loud one. I put ny headphones in so u could successfully ignore him. Pulled them out after 1 song and he was fast asleep!

OH kept going to him after settling him last night, and when I finally snapped at him to leave him alone, he fell to sleep then too! Also within minutes.

I dont know how this would have gone down if J was slightly younger, but he is still only 7 weeks xx

Well she's asleep for now, she wanted another 2oz and boob! So since i started the bedtime routine at 6 she's had 4oz formula and 4 full boob feeds! Greedy. Maybe she's got a sore throat like me which is why she's drinking so much :-P

Harrison had 4oz of boob milk & 1oz of formula before bed which is the most he's had all day, so hoping we have a better night.

I'm not going to get stressed tonight. I know he's unwell, and despite how it feels, he will one day sleep through. Just got to keep at it!

Hope he's a bit better tonight. You def deserve a break hun

I've been expressing & bottle feeding all day (apart from one feed in the bath), and its actually given me a bit of a break as I'm not battling to get him on the boob, I've offered the bottle & if he's not interested then that's that.

Hopefully going to get back to normal tomorrow though!

Poor H, hope he feels better soon. It will be happy baby = happy mummy this time round!

Well I'm just doing last feed before bedtime. It's ridiculous but I'm actually nervous to see what kind of night we're going to have.. Can't help but feel hopefully for it to be as great as last night! I know it's unlikely but I can't help it!

Poor me tonight.. Can feel my period coming. Already having pains but nothing else yet, just know it's gonna be a rotter after not having one for a year! ;-( xxx
