Nightfeeds Chat Thread

was playing put the dummy back in most of the night! Try getting her to sleep without it but unless she's really tired it doesn't happen! Xx

Ahh bless! I suppose it could be worse than a dummy. Atleast she does sleep eh x

Im not going to compain about last night! Compared to the previous night last night was great!

J slept 9-1. I slept at 11 so got two hours. Back down at 1.30 and he slept for another 4 hours until 5.30. Despite me making a bottle at 4 as I was sure he was gonna wake! Back down at 6 and woke me at 7.45. Two 4 hour blocks from him is great! !

yeh i supose, i am quite lucky with her sleeping patterns. I remember before i had her i used to think i was tired if i didn't have enough sleep... I never knew what tiredness was until now ! Xx

Oh yea I totally agree with that comment! Xx

Hi everyone! How is it that we were up for 2 hours , plus normal feed times & she still wakes up at 7 full of beans?!
Not looking forward to today, I'm knackered!

Lol, definately this! I just don't get it!

Kelly that's a great sleep I really hope it continues!

I finally got her to sleep...by feeding her for a third time! And she went straight down little madam. She slept till 8, phew. Were just feeding in bed now :-)

God am so tired. Trying to cit down LM milk during thenight, but after an hour of on and off whinging I caved and wejt and made her a bottle...she'll have had 18oz of milk once she finishes it :banghead: hoping she has a lie in! Xx

Bad night for us so far too.. Took ages to get him to fall asleep and stay in his basket, finally happens about 11:30, and now up already at 2:30! Usually there is a good 4/5 hour sleep to be given the first part of the night! Lets just hope it happened after this feed instead or I'm a zombie tomorrow! Xxx

Oh my. She just fed for an hour and a half. I suppose as she gets bigger and needs more & more she's going to feed for longer and longer. My milk supply just doesn't seem to be enough! I've not been able to express a drop recently!

Yikes an hour and a half?! That should hopefully help your supply though!

I'm up for the first feed :D she did go down an hour later than normal - about half 10 - because we had visitors which knocked everything back. But she's had 6 and a half hours! Can't believe it that's a record so far! Hope it becomes more regular! Xx

Very quiet here! Hopefully there were some good nights!

Im amazed, J slept from 11 to 2.45, then 3.15 to now. OH has just got up with him so I can stay in bed for an extra hour! But im quite awake so would be fine to get up! Last 2 nights have been good.

Although, J decided to throw up all over himself at 2.45 feed! Oh dear lol xx

Tbh it is hard but ffing them would be hard too so whipping out a boob is often easier! Lol! I'm knackered but lucky that all the kids are angels!

Twins would be insane. You're impressive mrsN!!!

We had a better night and I'm making the most.of daddy being here by getting 7-9am as a sleep on my own when her takes her downstairs. That topped up my sleep to about 5 in total.
Still wouldn't settle in Moses basket so put my long banana pillow under the sheet at the side to create a side to our bed and had her next to me, with me in.a c shape, and no duvet on. This is pretty close to the recommended cosleeping . I know it's frowned upon by some but if it works...
Will still persevere with the Moses basket but it's actually really awkward lifting her in and out Ib my condition too. And there's often only 20 mins between feeds.

Third it! Amazing stuff!

So last night was not good.. After waking at 2:30 he didn't go back to sleep in his bed until 4:30 and that was me letting him fully fall asleep in my bed before moving him, then he was awake again at 6:30. So last night I had a combined amount of about 4 hours sleep before then getting up to do school run. M is having a lovely sleep now but I had to eat I was so hungry after being up all night! Glad some others had a bit more luck, I feel like I can have an element of happiness even though it wasnt my baby doing all the sleeping haha.. I think it gives me hope ;-) xxxx

So how is everyones nights going? This thread seems too quiet.
Up for feed 1. Lo is really fussing at breast and refusing to latch as normal so I'm now feeding her with her Sat up in my lap. Don't know why she wouldn't latch but at 3 am I'm not going to argue.

Our neighbours are playing up again. Luckily they only woke us up not Lo. I hope they get evicted soon.

I'm up for first feed... She went down at half 9 and woke at half 3 so 6 hrs :) trouble I have is keeping her awake - she's only sucked for 10 mins and is now completely zonked!

Oh no what are they doing Zoe? Playing loud music? I've had troublesome neighbours in the past its just the worst xx

Woe 6 hrs nice. Were on another marathon feed. 40min on left, change nappy, and now shes been on the right for almost half hour!

3 weeks ago they had huge fight and beat each other half to death with weapons. So were over wary now but a lot of arguing outside our window, banging and running up + down the stairs

Oh no! I feel for you, when I was little we lived next door to this couple and there was really bad domestic violence, her daughter was always coming to use our phone to call ambulances - we moved out and a few years later he actually ended up killing her (the mother not the daughter!). I hope yours get evicted soon, its one thing having trouble through the day but night times must be awful - I get extremely grumpy if I'm woken in the night (except off the LO of course ha!)! Xx
