Newborn mucus?

He's 2 weeks old tomorrow and still has mucus from his birth. It scares the life out of me because he will all of a sudden gag and appear to be choking can I do anything to help him??

Sorry cant advise really, Id check with MW or HV when they come! Aiden used to be really like 'blocked' up with it but it went on its own when he was about 4 weeks! xx

Hmmm I think Sofia had this a little bit but it went, I wondered why she would all of a sudden gag! Never thought it would have been mucus from birth! I think I would just say to HV to be safe x

My baby had this a lot, because she was a c section baby. There is nothing you can do and the baby will be able to deal with it on their own. I was so scared the first time i saw it happen in the hospital... but they told me it was normal.
