need help with my maternity notes!

iv gotta fill in pages 1-8 of my yellow maternity notes for my MW app on wednesday 18th. iv done most of it but the bit near to the blood group and height & weight there is a box marked "para" i cant remember what this means??????? thanx

I think it means how many prior births you have had.

It means how many births you've had regardless of them resulting in a livebirth or stillbirth as long as the baby weighed over 500g and was past 20 weeks gestation.

yeah, i had to fill in loads of stuff about family history, and past pregnancies.

I didn't have to fill mine in either?? There are two bits on mine Gravida which is how many pregnancies total including the current one and para which is how many live births. Mine is written as Gravida 6 and Para 3 +2 as I have had 2 miscarriages.

I didnt have to write anything in my notes other then like personal info... address, contact details, next of kin etc

If there is anything your not totally sure of I would leave it and ask the midwife at your next appointment?!?!

My midwife filled mine in too - and they were green?

As has been said it is the number of pregnancies - mine was 0+0.
