We are really struggling to choose some boys names... or even 1!!!!!

DS1 is called Ernest... but mostly Ernie.

We like old fashioned names... can't have Oliver (nephew) or Edward (surname issue) and anything containing Bert is out. I love Albert/Albie but I just can't subject my children to a lifetime of sesame street jokes!

I do like Alfie (and my Dad was called Alfred) but its quite popular at the mo and want to steer clear of the more popular names.

arthur, archie, stanley, frank, collin.. just a few old men i have looked after

Arnold, Bernard, Bertram, Burton, Eugene, Franklin, Lincoln, Mervyn, Wilbur, Wilfred, Vincent, Wallace, Stanley, Theodore, Sidney, Alban, Atticus, Lyell, Stephanus, Cyrus, Lovell x x

Eric! I think having boys called Eric and Ernie would be fabulous! Funny though.... I swear i've heard of that duo somewhere before..... XD

xxxx

(Sorry I couldn't help myself, hehe)

Well what about one of my fav names , we prob won't get to use as I am sure we have finished picking our boys name, unless something changes my mind in the next 30 weeks or it's a girl!

Oh yes... didn't think of that Eric and Ernie connection :) I always thought get a cat and call it Eric.

I think I like Arthur the most at the mo - but not sure about shortening it. I'm not so keen on Artie/Art which are the common shortenings. Archie is quite cute too.

I kinda like Wilfried too but there's this silly show in Australia about this dog called Wilfred. Hmmm. You can shorten it to Wilf or Wil.

Ted is cute too (so Theodore)...

It was easy enough with Ernie... but this second child is proving to be much harder.

Ernie - loving that name!!! So cool and retro!

Yea I like Arthur, or Stanley?

I like wilbert, albie, dudley. Boys names are so hard im like you love old names my little boy is monty and think we are gunna have herbie this time if its a boy still stuck for girl tho.

lanny - I like Herbie :) It was my grandfathers name but it has Bert in it so not even considering it!

We briefly tossed Monty around - but DHs family dog is called Monty!!!!

For girls I like - Mabel, Bessie, Maggie and Maisie.... but I'm almost 90% convinced that we're having a boy :D
