I've only just got time to write this up ( you know how it is!) firstly, thank you to Chrystal for doing my labour thread.
On Monday 17th march 8am my waters went. I heard a pop and went into the kitchen and it all came out ! Was kind of a funny colour which I didn't realise at first. Then rang labour and delivery and got there at about half 9. Contractions were coming but irregular. I didn't find them too painful and was unusual cos they were right down low in my back. The midwives told me Neave had pood in my waters. My heart sunk and I was really worried something would go wrong. They then explained they would have to induce me on the drip to speed things along as she had pood so by 10am I was on the drip for half an hour and they turned it back off cos my contractions were coming regular. After about five or six hours I started the gas and air although it kept making me vomit. They turned the drip up again as she pood again and then it really started getting painful. They realised Neave was back to back and they did about four internals on me while I was in fully blown labour and it was very uncomfortable. They took bloods from baby's head and she was distressed. Two hours later they convinced me to get an epidural (think they knew it was going to be a c section) that was fab for half an hour but then wore off on one side. At 10 I was convinced and agreed to an emergency ceserean section as Neave was distressed and the doctor said the situation could change very rapidly. She was delivered at 10.46pm by c section. She was in special care for a week after as her blood sugars and temperature dropped and a couple of other issues. They said they didn't know why this happend but I think a traumatic birth wouldn't have helped. Finally settled with my darling girl. She is so bloody beautiful! It was very hard but Worth everything.
