Hello u beauties :)
Does anyone have any tips on how to naturally increase progesterone? Ive read and read and read and tried and tried but nothing :(
Oregano, cherries, soy, angus cactus, starflower........ im fussy on foods so i know theres alot to try but i cant eat it :( has anyone had any success with any remedies theyve tried?
Xxxx

I've been looking for that info too. B vitamins are supposed to be good. I take Floradix which contains Folic acid, iron, B vitamins and other good stuff!

What about progesterone cream? I am not sure how effective it is though x

I was looking for this too and like you didn't have much luck finding anything. I have started acupuncture however which has made a huge difference x

So the acupuncture has increased your progesterone levels? That's good! I had some in the summer but stopped going because my mum was in hospital and I couldn't fit it in. I should probably take it up again, especially during IVF.

I've read that the NHS also recommend you do acupuncture before IVF and I know someone who's been refered on the NHS so it's definately worth a shot. It may have been a coincidence for me but after 3 failed clomid rounds I finally ovulated with the acupuncture x

I had accupunture for about 3months and did nothing :(:( i just want to work!!!!!!!

That's interesting, I wonder if your body was not as sesnitive or if your therapist wasn't effective? My therapist was a midwife and focusses on acupuncture for fertility which was just a coincidence really as she was the only one I could find in my area .

I hope you do have success soon x

That's great!

Does anyone know if your GP will / can prescribe progesterone? I'm going to visit GP in morning and I'm going to ask him. I know my levels are quite high indicating ovulation 60-70 but still no bfp. Ttc for 2years 8 months, tests all clear but I'm hypothyroid.

I know they prescribe it for menopause symptoms but not sure if they prescribe it for younger women. I'm sure they would if needed.

Claire2602 sometimes try a different acupuncturist as some are better than others, do different things etc.. I had different treatments/ points each time. The place I went was brilliant, reduced my cycles from 12-7 weeks naturally. Also doesn't necessarily have to be fertility acupuncturist, shop around and do research. I liked the chose the place as the website was very good and had videos.

I've thought about trying accupuncture and there is someone fairly local to me who claims they specialise in hormone / fertility. I just wasn't sure whether it was a load of mumbo-jumbo or whether anyone has found it beneficial...

They recommend it at our fertility clinic. The leaflet says that it has been found to be beneficial but they can't make any definite claims. The acupuncturist I saw said that it connects energy from different parts of the body to another.
I did feel different afterwards but mostly felt very relaxed which was a good result anyway!
