I proper buggered up my wrist again yesterday pushing the pram :( I was in agony last night and couldn't do anything and when I went to bed my whole arm was all pins and needles-y! It's still bad this morning, but not as bad, but I know by the time I've used it all day it'll be agony!

I was gona make a docs appt, but they'd most likely just send me for an X-ray and then I'd have to wait a few days for the results, so I was thinking of jut cutting out the middle man and taking a trip to a&e! I hate going to doctors and the hospital, Cos I feel like I'm wasting their time, but this has been going on for years now and it's getting really painful! What would you guys do?

I'd go to the docs first because more than likely they'll send you straight to xray (will you believe my iPhone just autocorrected xray to crayon because I'm being lazy and not putting in x-ray) rather than sitting in a&e for hours!

I reckon you could say you jarred it in the pram and go to A&E. I think there has to have been some kind of injury type moment to go to A&E rather than a chronic problem. But I can see your point. I'd prob just go to my GP cos Im too much of a good girl, but I reckon you'd have it sorted today if you went to A&E.

That might be the least helpful answer in the history of PF! :flower:

Helen your iPhone is as illiterate as mine  I think I will ring the docs! I've just realised aswell my hand naturally sits at a funny angle too :s

:/ yeah ring the docs, you might be sent to the hospital anyway. Did you actually jar it or anything or is it just hte gradual build up of straining with the pram?

It's been playing up since i had K, always felt like it needed to click, then about 6 months ago I pushed the pram up a kerb whilst it had too much shopping on and caught it funny and jarred it, had to get FOB out to help with the kids cos it hurt so much I couldn't lift them! Every now and again it flares up, but yesterday all I did was push the pram and it's agony :(

Here's a couple of pics, first my normal wrist, and 2nd my dodgy one

:/ I'd see the doc. I had tendonitis after I had morgan. Its called "baby wrist" cos loads of mothers get it from handling the baby. But if you jarred it is more likely o be some kind of injury. If you see the GP ham up how much pain youre in and how difficult it is managingthe girls. did you ring the GP yet?

Not rung yet cos I wanted to get the girls dressed first incase they say go down straight away! Gona ring them now!

Have got an appt for 11! Got to push the pram to get there, but never mind! And the kids are being truly horrible today :(

oh typical! how are you gonna push the pram?? can you not get someone round to sit with the girls?xxx

oh I just realised youve probably already left the house. Im so dull today!

oh dear. lets hope she's more professional this time eh?! Hold your head up high girlie, youre doing a fantastic job as a mummy! elbow pram pushing is pure genius

I'm used to funny pram pushing lol, was pushing with both elbows, talking on the phone and holding Ks hand in the park the other week  is probs no wonder my wrist is fooked! And I'm always pushing with that hand and holding Ks hand! Won't yell the doc that mind :oooo:

She thinks it's muscular! Shes prescribed paracetamol and ibuprofen gel and said not to lift anything heavy  and she left the phone off the hook so the speaker was on into the waiting room  she said it would only have been dead faint, but I'm gona ring up and check and possibly complain! And there's a kind of positive bit about what I saw her about last time, will update in gr!

oooh sounds good about the positive bit, but  @ the speaker!!! I guess if it was really obvious one of the receptionists wouldve interrupted to tell her. Looking forward to hearing the good news!
