my son charlie keeps haveing paddys eg were walking in the frount room and if the frount door is open he whats to go out and the if i say no and trun him away he starts to proper cry and have a paddy them just keep crying till ill pick him up how do i get him to not have the paddy and stop crying if he dont get his own way. . . . .

as long as he is in a safe place where he can't hurt himself , I would totally ignore him while the crying and paddy went on, then, after 1 min if not stopped by himself when realising the attention was not coming for the paddy, I would try to distract him, oooh look at that .... or lets go and do ....., or story time...... etc and he will forget , didn't work with my daughter, but would always work with my boys

I agree, as long as he is safe, ignore completely, he will love the attention wether it's good or bad, and if he knows you are reacting to him doing that he will keep doing it xx

thanks ill start doing it today wish me luck lol

Good luck  If Odhráns really throwing a tantrum, I ignore him but if it carrys on and he's hitting etc, I put him in his pram to calm down with a drink, when he comes out he will give a kiss and hug x

Its difficult but I agree with the others , make sure he is somewhere safe and leave him at it . Afterwards let him come to you for a cuddle when he is calm .

hows it going? I have a VERY tantrummy Owen at the moment. He seems to have a very wilful and independent streak. He also seems to be developing his feelings of anger and can get in a right state if he doesn;t get his way. So hard cos he is too young to understand any explanation of anything.
Any other tips from anyone (sorry to hijack!)
x
