My lil Man- Cameron Elliot

Not yet but only taken my second tablet this morning. The data sheet said it could take up to two weeks to work though.

Need to tidy up and wrap xmas prezzies but got no motivation to do it! Cam fell asleep at about 12.15 and still sleeping now. Could have got my housework done in the last half hour as theres not really much to do but just cba! Was going to try and get out for a nice walk with the dogs too but its tipping it down, so I'll wait until oh is home and walk them then as don't want to drag Cam out in the rain.

Amelie slept 8.30-12 1.30-14.15 15:30-16.15 17.30-still sleeping...
:faint: :faint: I hope she will sleep at night too...
I always worry when she sleeps so much :(
She seems to need a nap every 90 min ?

I am so lazy to do any Christmas preparations too :( all I want is for her to not cry her eyes out and me to sleep lol :)
Oh and I can't wait for some eggnog!

What do you usually eat Emily on Christmas day? Is there anything traditional that you cook?

Awww hun  she'll settle soon enough I'm sure.

We have roast turkey, roast sausages, roast pototoes, roast parsnips, carrots, swede, leeks in a cheese sauce, brussell sprouts and stuffing with gravy and cranberry sauce. I normally do dessert, this year I am doing chocolate orange trifle, banoffee pie and attempting a lemon syllabub for the first time too.

For supper we have prawn cocktails, cold meat, chutney, beetroot, pickled onions and cheeses, followed by more dessert.

And ofcourse copious amounts of sweeties in between :)

OMG I'm so hungry now! Lol!

I'm not 100% sure but i think Cam has slept more today than usual. He did have jabs yesterday though, so that may be why.

I've had a very clingy little man this afternoon - he's wanted so many cuddles. Theres not many people i would abandon my roast dinner for! Bless him! I think his teeth might have been hurting him.

He'll be 17 weeks on Tuesday and we bought some baby rice today, so we're all ready for when he wants it. I'm nervous about weaning but hv said its almost better to start at 4 months as then you can take it nice and slowly. I may well still wait until he's a bit older as he doesn't seem to be showing any signs yet. We'll see...

I'm still feeling a bit bleugh if I'm honest but i guess these things take time. My oh is being so great and really supportive. HV said she would get in touch next week to see how I'm doing and got to see the doc again after xmas. Really hope i feel better soon and more like my old self again.

OMG its xmas next week and i have so much to do. Need to write a list me thinks so i can keep track and tick things off. Had one of those moments this morning, when you wake up in the wee hours and just as you are about to nod off you remember you need to book the cat in for his booster and are suddenly wide awake and can't get back to sleep! :faint:

Just sat here looking at ny scrummy lil man and have to chuckle to myself. He is at the stage where 0-3 months clothes are too small but 3-6 months are a bit too big still. His feet don't come to the end of his sleepsuit and he looks so cute! Lol!

Don't remind me how many things I have to do!!!! Including cocos vaccinations that I just discovered that they were due the month Amelie was born and we all forget
I put Amelie today in 6-9 pants and vests and 3-6 cardigan...
I know what you mean with the clothes... Though they are right length wise for her they are way too wide so she looks absolutely tiny in them

Are you making eggnog?? Though I hate alcohol with passion eggnog is the only thing I would ever drink made with a very small quantity of alcohol though.

Your Christmas food menu sounds so so delicious!!!!
We are baking greek kebab(kind of small pieces of pork) for Christmas Day actually is put in the oven the Christmas Eve night in a very low temperature and it bakes all night... When you get up at Christmas morning the house smells absolutely delicious!!!!

I have no idea how to make eggnog and I've never tried it before. I'm not even sure what it is exactly! Lol!

This will be my second alcohol free xmas- preggers last year and on meds this year. Luckily I'm not much of a drinker anyway.

I'm getting there with my to do list- five out of eleven done so far.

Cameron did some amazing tummy time yesterday. Pushed himself right up and was looking around for ages! So proud :)

Also, I put him on his playmat and he was rolling onto his side. Somehow he ended up with his feet were his head had been! I get the feeling that he may be one of these babies that bypasses crawling as he loves to stand up all the time. Such a clever lil man and a very proud mummy :)

Well last nigh saw a major bad mummy moment- i nearly cried, i have never felt so guilty!

I was bathing Cam and we've got 2 little light up floating bath toys. I sat him up so he could see them properly. Cam however, decided he would rather play with his feet and even though i had hold of him, he slipped sideways and half his face went under the water! It obviously scared him so i got him out and calmed him down but he was having none of it when i tried to put him back in to wash his hair. I hope i haven't ruined bath time forever. Going to get a non slip mat so it won't happen again. My poor lil man.

Aww don't worry sweetie. It was only probably worked up and a little clingy and he didn't want to leave your cuddle probably. It happened with Amelie when she was a newborn and it even happened in one of those special baths with a seat built in by she was so tiny that the water covered her face

I bet tonight he will be as happy as ever. But if you see that he is stressing maybe you keep it very short for a couple of days until he calms down? I doubt he will remember it though.
Chin up :)
We don't have a bath btw only a shower so no idea how I will bath Amelie soon as she outgrew her baby bathtub  already

We had a busy day yesterday (i was having a good day, so made the most of it) and we were in and out quite a lot so he didn't nap very much so was tired too which didn't help.

Cams baby bath is huge! Its too wide to fit in our bath even! Mind you, i dont really use it now, i put him in the bath seat in the big bath. Do you have a bath seat? Could you sit Amelie in that in the shower tray and use the shower head to wash her off?

How is she doing with her eating? Still on hunger strike?

She has been feeding better the last couple of days. Still less that what she clearly needs but at least now she stopped pushing the bottle out all the time. She drinks what she wants to drink in a go rather than stoppig. After 10 ml or so...I suppose we will see how it will go... I have a feeling that it will not last long...
Are you starting with some baby rice or porridge for cam or are you waiting the recommended 6 m maybe?
I tried Amelie with a couple of things and she had none of it... Dreading weaning really lol. Hopefully she will be more ready in 3-4 weeks.
Unless she starts putting weight and drinking she milk and I let her with no solid food until she is old enough to go get it from the fridge by herself lool...
Can't wait pictures of Cameron eating!!

Are you thinking or traditional weaning or BLW?

I have got some baby rice and some porridge and spoons etc but not started it yet. I expect i shall start in the next few weeks, I'm nervous though! Need to get a highchair too!

I'll be doing traditional weaning and giving purees i think.

He seems quite happy on his milk still but as he's 17 weeks we can start whenever he wants it now.

I can wean puppies and kittens no worries...my own species and I'm bloody clueless!! Lol!

Lololol so true
I am sure he will have fun unless he decided like Amelie that spoon feeding is too much work

I'm sure he'll love it, its just me that needs to pluck up the courage!

Well, i didn't ruin bath time! Yaaaaaaay!! :)

He had his bath tonight with no worries at all. Phew!

I'm so relieved. I was worried that after his dunking, i would have put him off forever.

My MIL, BIL & SIL are coming tomorrow and MIL will be staying until Friday. They haven't seen Cam since he was 4 weeks old. I think they'll be suprised at how much he's grown.

I'm pretty much sorted for xmas. Just need to make a trifle and possibly some more shortbread depending on how much we eat tomorrow! Quick tidy up and done!

I am glad that bath time went ok!!!!

Merry Christmas sweet girl, I am excited for her first Christmas but I can't actually wait for the next one when they will be able to open their presents!!! Precious memories

Thanks hun.

After his bath and bottle we put out his sack ready for Santa to fill with prezzies and I read him The Night Before Christmas as a bedtime story. I know he won't know a thing about it but I still want to do it properly. Well nearly properly- didn't bother putting out milk and cookies for santa- I'm too full up! Lol!

Really looking forward to tomorrow!!

Well, its been a very busy week!

Christmas was great but i did find it a bit of a struggle at times with the PND. Cam has been spoiled rotten and had lots of lovely prezzies. My parents got him a door bouncer which he loves!!

I bit the bullet and gave him some baby rice on boxing day and he ate a whole portion of it yesterday! I'm still very confused by weaning so I'm going to ask the HV to go through it all with me.

Also big news...Cam has his first tooth! He was chewing on my finger yesterday and i felt it, had a look and there it is! :)

I guess that explains why he's been so miserable and difficult at feeding times! Bless him.
