I am glad you are enjoying yourself sweetie!

I still find it difficult when James is screaming (it is limited to exclusively when he is hungry now and he doesn't scream at night). It knocks my confidence a little as there is nothing the quietens him apart from food

On the upside though James is now going to sleep for long periods at night - 5 to 6 hours! He is also a lot more aware of his surroundings and he is in love with Henry the hoover. I left it out the other day and he stares at it when I change his bum, so Henry is now a perminant feature in the living room

James also gets crazy, excited when Daddy comes home (if he is awake) he gets all wide eyed and kicks his legs like mad.

We are getting out most days now and I feel a lot more capable in my mothering abilities.

James has outgrown his newborn clothes now and that makes me a little sad, he's almost 5 weeks so longer a newborn

James sounds like he's doing really well! I know what you mean about it knocking your confidnece when they cry - you wonder what you've done wrong... Harry is quite a grumpy baby at the moment and it's really hard sometimes when he's grizzly for long periods of time. I guess they'll grow out of this soon enough...

That's amazing that he's sleeping so well - you must feel so much better for it Harry is doing pretty well sleep wise too so can't complain... How lovely that James gets so excited for daddy! Can't say that Harry does atm - must be so nice for OH to come home to that

Really glad you're coping well and that Henry Hoover is playing his part too... Ah, don't feel too sad honey - the best is yet to come! xxx

Had Harry weighed today and he's now 9lbs + 9oz! That means he's put on 8oz in a week Makes me feel proud that I'm breast feeding and he's doing so well - feels like a real acheivement! xxx

So happy! Harry's really trying to smile today and it's best thing in the world!!! His whole little face lit up! He looks a bit unsure at the moment about it all but hopefully soon he will get the hang of it xxxxxx

After my big buzz the other day when I saw Harry try to smile, he hasn't done a whole lots of smiling since. I really thought he would start smiling more, but he still seems really grumpy a lot of the time and I only catch the odd glimpse of a smile every now and then, mainly in the mornings so DH hasn's really seen it - only the grumpy face! I guess he's not quite sure about how to do it yet. Hopefully soon we will get more smiles!

He also has quite bad skin right now with baby acne and very dry,flakey forehead so not great for those xmas photo opportunities lol! Bless him, he's still a gorgeous munchkin though Someone bought as a santa costume for him, so will try and get a photo of him in it soon

James still has terrible screaming fits when he is hungry - he goes from being fine to sqawking his little head off in seconds so I can't even avoid it??

Other than that though he is a very sweet little thing, he loves to sit in his chair and have a nosey. He can sit for up to an hour just staring, looking and cooing. He has a few toys that I give him and I normally stick the radio on so we can have a sing along.

He is quite interactive now and has so many facial expressions (no proper smiles just yet though!). I hardly get anything done as I just sit and watch him all the time

He's just nodded off now and instead of doing something 'useful' I am here LOL!

I guess babies will cry! Sounds like James is less of a cry baby than Harry tho... It's a rare thing for Harry to be awake and not not crying! Those moments are very precious and hoping for a few more of those soon

I love their facial expressions - crack me up Harry still hasn't quite got the hang of smiling tho we do get a rare smile every day now, tho I'm not sure he really gets what he's doing...
