Hope you don't mind me asking but other than checking they're registered is there anything else you would suggest I ask when looking for an acupuncturist? Very new at this as I'm sure you can tell!!
Not at all MoominGirl, though not sure how much help I can be!
I sort of chanced upon finding my accupuncturist, as she is based very locally. Reading her credentials, she didn't specialise in fertility accupuncture (as some do), but she does have quite a bit of experience in fertility accupuncture. So what I'm saying is, depending on where you live and therefore potential options, I would enquire as to how much experience they have in doing accu specifically for fertility.
Quite a lot of ladies who had posted on various forums were also given different Chinese herbs to take alongside the accupuncture (I wasn't offered this option but didn't mind as I don't think they're that cheap!), and tbh I don't know if there's any evidence that it increases your chances of a BFP.
Btw I think it sounds very sensible what you said about focusing on the things that are within your control with respect to TTC. I reckon that accupuncture will offer you that element of control, and because with the accu, you tend to make positive changes to your diet (for example I was advised to cut down on cow's milk products due to a 'slippery' pulse, and because I had a cold uterus (which seemed to be my issue in ttc...), I was advised to eat lots of warming, wholesome meals), you're doing lots of good things for your body, that I'm sure can only help
