lol sorry hun. It was a 3rd degree tear. (I think it was 3rd anyway - the midwife at the time said it was 4th, but then the health visitor who checked up when I was home, she had a look and said it was a 3rd, so I just go by her).
Well - it was actually both a tear and an episotomy. The midwife cut me a little bit, then cut me a little bit more, but clearly none of it was enough because I ripped anyway.
And yep lots of stitches (dunno how many).
Have you had any before?
I won't lie - I found the tear the worst part of it all - the few weeks after the birth were awful, but like I said, if I can cope then anybody can ;)

G3M - nobody should be envious of my bump - my backache so early on truly sucks haha.
 
yea at the home birth i had 2nd degree tare and refused stitches i hadnt done things my way havin the home birth to go spoil it by havin a needle LOL

mi mum had a 10lb 11oz naturally then 5 and a half weeks later he unforuntaly died, of cot death, there is a post on him if u hadnt seen it already :(

aww that's so sad :( no I hadn't seen the post on him. Was it a recent thing? My sincerest condolences.

Yes my second was heavier than my first....Haylea was 8lb 2 1/2oz and Ashlea was 8lb 10oz....both births were very different....
