Mucus Plug??? warning graphic photo

I have been loosing lots of this stuff for over a week now. It changes from this colour to dark brown. It's very stretchy and snot like in consistency. Is this really my mucus plug?

Yes hun that is definitely it - mine looked like that and it took me 2 weeks to lose it all x

I've had this for weeks and when I showed the midwives they said it was discharge. I can literally feel it coming out though and with discharge you can't. Then they said the brown stuff is just old blood. Oh I have no idea xx

Thanks ladies, just wanted to check it realky was mucus plug.
Yeah I have been loosing this every time I go to the toilet and as you said Lulu I can feel it falling out. Sometimes it's bigger blobs of this stuff sometimes is a different colour.

Oh okay so mine is normal too, had a lot of that myself on tissue and yesterday a big blob, glad it's just my body gearing up xxx

yes, but it can regenerate so doesn't necessarily mean labour imminentor a problem just means things are softening up down there - possibly getting dislodged due to head pushing down etc.

This made me laugh....I thought I'd lost all mine, then when my waters where being broken she pulled out the hugest biggest bit of snot the size of a massive hot dog and I was like "oh so my plug didn't completely go then lol" x

Im so glad u posted this! Iv had this for the past while. I thought it was just discharge and my plug would be a strange colour! Iv had sooooo much pressure down there recently so i suppose it makes sence lolxx
