monster nap!

alyssa got up at 7am as usual today, played and fed, had 20 mins at about 9 then same and 30 min nap at 12 ish, fell asleep on boob at 1 but woke after 10 mins or less and was awake til 2.30 ish. shes now been asleep on my lap since as she wasnt happy going down in the pram for some reason. shes started crying in her sleep once and then settled again real quickly when rocked for a few seconds. its really odd, shes not napped for longer than an hour for a week or 2 now but shes out for the count still! i keep expecting her to wake up but shes not flickered an eyelid lol. she must really need the kip, after sleeping from 8.30pm til 7am you'd think she had got enough last night lol

sorry this is a bit pointless im just amazed and confused. i keep checking her head to see if she feels hot or something lol

i'll keep my fingers crossed for you Tor. she just coughed and scared herself awake lol. poor lil girl screamed an now shes feeding so she should be calm again lol. how's tilly been today so far?

This routine we are following appears to be working so far. I'm not going to get excited until she sleeps after the feed at 6.15 though tbh

She's slept the most in the day she ever has I think!

oh no, i didnt do it, she did it herself. i count myself incredibly blessed and lucky to have a lo thstd never woken more than once a night, shes set her own bedtime at 8/9pm cos once she falls asleep after 8 thats her done for the night. i may have had problems with her feeding to start with but shes always loved her sleep. shes the most happy contented lil thing an sometimes i could just cry looking at her smiling up at me and thinking how lucky i am to be blessed with her even if shes a fussy eater and takes teething badly lol. im sure you girls feel the same sometimes too. its amazing how i can feel like that and then feel like screaming at her when she wont stop crying cos of her teeth lol

Haha bev I'm the same! I get so teary when I'm cuddling him over how much I love him then when he's woken me up for the 5th time during the night I think nope that's it no more lovely tears for you!!

Toughest job in the world but the most amazing at the same time xxx p.s if she taught herself can she come and teach max too please

lol i'll tell her to have a word, ive always just gone with what she does, she used to stay up with dad til 3am, then it was coming to bed with me after 11/12 when she fell asleep after she figured out night and day and slept til 3am, dad would bring a bottle when he came up and often he fed her that one, then it was that id feed her at 11 and take her up with me and no bottle just bf when she woke at 5am and then its just become i put her up in her cot at 8/9pm when shes fell asleep cos i was having to wake her at 11 just to carry her to bed and then feeding her etc to get her back to sleep. if i thought there was something i was doing that had made her do it id share it but im afraid its all down to her really

yeah well i thikn alot of it is actually down to them to be honest!

but im trying a different tactic tonight, bathed at 6, then a feed and hes been in bed since 8. hoping he then wakes at 11 for a feed. i was doing bath at 8, fed at 9 then bed and he started waking at 1.30am.
