midwife appointments

Hi ya, i have another question ha ha.

I was wondering how many times most people have had appointments with their midwife. I've seen mine 3 times now and im 30 weeks.

I guess this is normal, im not sure, i just wanted to see if everyone else has had the same. I dont know anyone who is pregnant or recently had a baby to ask.

Ive seen my MW 4 times now (i'm 28 weeks) and ive got 4 more appointments up to 40 weeks
Ive also just seen the consultant because of my short stature and have a growth scan and a final 36 weeks scan with him to decide on how best to give birth

My notes say you should see your midwife:

12 weeks
16 weeks
25 weeks (1st baby only)
28 weeks
31 weeks (1st baby only)
34 weeks
36 weeks
38 weeks

I've seen mine at the right times but now, with gestational diabetes, I see a new midwife every few weeks. If you want to speak to your midwife though, give her a ring, I'm sure she won't mind.

I am pregnant with my first baby and haven't seen the midwife often.

I saw them at:
10 weeks (booking in and 1st scan appt at hospital)
15 weeks (quad test done by community midwife, which was optional)
19 weeks (2nd scan at hospital)
24 weeks (community midwife check up)
28 weeks (community midwife check up)

and the next appt is to be for when i'm 34 weeks.

Even though I'm classed as 'low risk' I am surprised at how few appts i've been told to make considering it is my first baby.

thats exactly what i've been thinking. Im the same i have seen mine

8 weeks (booking in)

29 weeks

and my next is booked in for 32 weeks.

I've seen mine every 4 weeks and then have been seeing her every week since 38 weeks

I see her now every 2 weeks

Im not usre to be honset without looking at my notes but am a bit naughty as dont go sometimes, im supposed to have one this week but i know my midwife is on holiday and wont see anyone else so not going to go till next week, i have seen the same midwife now for 20 years so they can bugger off if they think i am seeing a different one

Oh for all the baby brains on here i dont mean i have been pregnant for 20 yrs but my eldest son is nearly 20 and have had her for all 6 babies so far
