I'm just wondering if anyone has been prescribed anything for morning sickness/nausea? I know in very extreme cases (hyperemsis etc.) women get prescribed things, but what about the next tier down? Mine is not extreme but it is enough to not allow me to function normally throughout the day and it is pretty constant (the nausea, not vomiting). Has anyone ever taken any medication for this that is helpful and safe?

I'm currently taking ondandestron which is amazing but I have hypemersis. Over my last 3 pregnancy I have tried cyclizine, Phenegran and proclorperazine tablets.
I found cyclizine and Phenegran took the nausea away for me but didn't help with me being sick.

Thank you! That's really helpful to hear. It's so hard to get an appointment at the doctor at the moment but will hopefully have one tomorrow morning.
I'm so sorry you're experiencing hyperemisis. I hope you feel better soon.

I didn’t have hyperemisis but the dr prescribed me cyclizine for my sickness as it was daily from around 6 weeks, often a few times a day, also enough to stop me functioning as normal. Thankfully I have been working from home so that was a massive help!
Unfortunately I didn’t find the cyclizine helped very much so I was still being sick :( I hope you get to speak to dr and they give you something to help

Thank you that's really useful to know. I'll discuss what the options are with the doctor. I'm also working from home but it is so unpleasant to go through the whole day feeling ill. And now I'm running around after a 2 year old... Hopefully the doctor can give me something to take the edge off it. Such a horrible time in pregnancy.

oh it is so difficult, I have struggled so much and I don’t have a child to look after. I can only imagine how hard it is for you!
hope you feel better soon

Same, some days I may just feel abit nauseous but don’t throw up. but then most days are like today, where I wake up and feel completely fine, then I slowly start going downhill and then once I have been sick I feel absolutely drained and exhausted.
Here’s hoping the sickness passes for us all soon!

Thank you. Fingers crossed things get better soon.

Just wanted to echo, I'm really sorry for everyone experiencing it even worse than me. I know I am lucky that with my first pregnancy it went away around 14 weeks. And that the vomiting was never too bad.
I am so sorry it's worse for so many women.

I’m pregnant with my first and really struggling with sickness all day and migraines my doctor has prescribed me migramax which has helped massively with both sickness and headaches

Update: I got procoloperazone prescribed and it does seem to be helping a bit. It makes me sleepy but I'd much rather be sleepy than nauseated.

Glad it is helping you. Hopefully soon the nausea will ease off and you will feel better without them
