but is anyone else worried they are going to get bored when lo is here and you have a year off work :oooo:

xx

It's not stupid! It's understandable.

Having children and watching them grow etc is amazing, but theres only so much u can do on your time off and it does get a bit mind boggling. I will b the same.
I'm in a routine of going to lunch with the girls etc and hope to still stick to that so have something to look forward too as well as enjoying my baby xx

haha! yep i've planned lots of lunches that i will walk to so that i can shift weight at the same time. my weekly lunch bill is going too quadruple though! xx

loool no its not silly

I wondered the same thing til I have my first. Trust me, baby will take up your whole day, and when baby is sleeping you'll either be sleeping or doing house-work. You probs wont feel like normal for a gd cpl of months down the line. But it is great when you can get to that point where life is more manageable & you can arrange 1/2 days and full days out. I think planning is the key/where to go/what to take/outfits for baby ect - coz if u leave it til on the day you might find it harder.

I'd say going from experience, your mat leave will fly in & as i'm sure EVERY mum will tell you - those first few months totally fly in. You'll be back at work before you know it!

Not stupid hun! I think about this as well. Once bubs is a bit bigger i will def be looking into going to lots of mother and baby type things!

Only if you sit around the house all the time with it :)

I remember when my sister had her lad and it was hard to get a hold of her! She wanted to show baby this, show baby that, take him to several different baby and mother groups... i honestly think she spent only one day per week at home with baby lol

It's a great excuse to get out and talk to strangers and appreciate new things it you have the motivation :good:

m... yeah. That's why I'm not sure if I will take whole 12 months of maternity leave. If I will that I am losing my mind, I might go back to work earlier :)

I didnt actually think about that till now... I've always worked full time since I was 16 and I've never quit a job without already having another to start so I've literally had no breaks in employment. Even when I moved to Ireland I was only here a week before I got a job lol. I'm hoping to get my card-making business set up when we return to England in 2013 so I'll be busying myself working on designs in the next week, starting with thank you cards lol!! xx

i have also worked full time since i was 16 and never been out of work......have done the whole career thing and worked my way up to where i wanted to be....so time to put me and my family first now for a bit....

i plan on doing lots with my new little family and enjoying every minute of that 12 months...

but then i am an old bird...ha ha.....so i have worked full time for 20 years nearly....i need a break! lol...i know having a baby will be no break, but you know what i mean :D xx

yeah i am planning on keeping busy but it is a bit daunting to think that most of the time its going to be me and this little one on our own for most of the day. luckily i do have friends with babies but, i dont know, i like to find things to worry about i think lol xxx
