***** May 2019 Mummies *****

I'm OK
A bit nauseous but only when I'm hungry. Nothing has really made me gag and the boob pains come and go and vary in strength. They feel so full and swollen.
I'm weeing more but I'm trying to drink more so that's helping thay one lol.
I'm tired and a little bit emotional lol.
I keep getting tiny niggles in my tummy too. Nothing painful but I know they are there.
I think im roughly 5+2

Oh and iv been to the doctors this morning. I am officially pregnant on their system and a letter has gone through to the midwife.

Aw hope the nausea subsided! I’m only 4weeks+1. Not had any symptoms today apart from feeling tired but we are walking miles in Edinburgh which might not help haha. We have just got back to our room and I think a little nap is required zzzz

I will be curious to know if you get the extreme hunger like I did and the headaches. Every pregnacy is different, so its just curious me wanting to see what early symptoms you get

Hope you have a lovely break x

Glad everyone is doing ok. I have really sore nipples (sorry), tiredness and occasional nausea. I’m seeing the mw next week as the doctor has told me to go to get her to sort out my early scan because of the clomid). Still worrying that she isn’t going to want to see me so early.

Has anyone told many people yet? I’ve told my sisters, 2 good friends and a few people at work. I know it seems early to tell people but I’ve told people who I’m close to. And at work it’s best if people know as I work in the nhs and my job can be quite physically demanding.

We've told both sets of parents and siblings and the kids. Oh and iv told my best friends.
The thing I think is if its going to happen i don't mind people knowing Iv lost a baby. Why should us women suffer in silence, it would break my heart to have a miscarriage, as it would us all, and I'd like to know I have a good support network around me and my children would understand why I was so upset.
Also they can share the excitement of a new pregnancy!
Everyone feels so differently about this subject though. X

Hi ladies. Sorry I’ve been a bit quiet on here the last few days, it’s my sons birthday on Sunday so I’ve been frantically cleaning for his party and it’s been a mad few days with his teething!
Glad to see everyone is doing well at the moment :)

I have my private early scan tomorrow morning so I’ll check in afterwards and update the first page if I’ve missed something!
Sleep well :) x

How exciting firstfreakout! How far gone will you be at your scan? Don’t forget to share t with us xx

We haven’t told anyone yet as I’m only 4 weeks+1 but I think I’m going to have to tell my best friends in 2 weeks time, which is earlier than I’d like. 2 weeks today we go on one of our group’s hen party with a hot tub and we are going to Alton towers. I can’t go in the tub and I can’t go on any rides. Pairing that with not drinking, they’ll def work it out if I don’t tell them haha. X

Here comes the dreaded paranoia.... My boobs don't hurt today. Well they do a tiny bit but there not swollen like they were and they are no way near as sore. :(
I wish we could just see what was going on in there.

How come you can’t do rides hun? X

So I had a private reassurance scan today...

One healthy baby with a heartbeat! Measured at 6+1 and EDD of 3rd May. 2 days behind LMP says but does confirm ovulation date as OPK said I ovulated 2 days later this month :)
My dates changed 3 times in the first tri during my previous pregnancy so I'll wait and see what the 12 week scan says!

Everything else (womb, ovaries) look good too apparently.
We got a picture too! attached at the bottom for those who like Ramzi theory!

I was so relieved when she said there was a heartbeat I burst into tears

Symptoms I have at the moment are sore and always erect nipples , cramping and digestion issues, chapped dry cuticles (this was a symptom with my DS throughout the pregnancy too wtf), and occasional nausea/no appetite.

I think it's starting to feel real now!

In regards to the previous discussion of when everyone is telling family and friends --

I told my best friend, my mum & stepdad, sister and son's health visitor so far. I told my mum mostly because I needed some support as I was feeling sad.
Tomorrow we're telling OH's family when they're here for DS's birthday, and then I'll probably make a social media announcement in October now I'm off work for our mutual friends to know.

I've got my booking in appointment on the 21st September so hopefully the scan date won't be far behind. :)

As the baby is currently protected by the pelvis right now, as long as you're not being thrown around or have high impact most rides should be safe. However it's completely understandable that you wouldn't want to go on them!
I agree that telling them is probably easier than trying to hide it in one of the hardest situations like you just described lol
A hen party while pregnant sounds like a minefield!

I’ve read online that rides aren’t good especially in the first trimester because I can put pressure on the placenta and womb generally. Not sure if anyone has been to Alton towers but most of not all of the rides throw you around upside down, loops, backwards, drops and yeah you get the gist. I just don’t want to take any risk that’s all... I’ve been on all of the rides multiple times before (except the newest wooden rollercoaster) so I’m not missing much xx

Ah this is completely valid. I've never been to Alton Towers but if it's anything like Thorpe Park... yeah, I wouldn't go on any either! Have fun all the same though <3

So I'm in the process of cleaning the flat and getting things ready for both grandparents and siblings to come over tomorrow for my DS's first birthday.. All I want to do is go to bed I'm so tired! I can't believe he's one years old tomorrow. I have a feeling I'm going to be an emotional mess :O

Hi everyone!

I think I'm tentatively sneaking in here :)

I stopped taking the pill on 23rd July, started trying on 6th August and according to a clear blue digi the pregnancy is dated around 4-5 weeks, if it's right I should be due around mid May.

Still doesn't feel real somehow!! Xx

Congratulations, Kelly! I understand that feeling. We decided to start trying for number 2 on the 6th August and I had a positive test on the 18th! It's a bit of a shock when it happens so quickly..

Is this your first pregnancy? :D

Do you have a rough date for your due date, and I'll add you on the list on the front page? You could try the countdowntopregnancy website by using your last period date / date of ovulation if you're not sure and it'll give you a rough estimate :)

Let us know if we can answer any questions <3
