***** May 2019 Mummies *****

Thank you ladies. Still got some brown spotting. Not much. I am trying not to worry but it is in the back of my mind. After 3 years trying for it to be taken away now would be so cruel but I have to try and stay positive.

I am trying not to think too much about being pregnant etc until my scan on the 19th.

Hope you are all well :) xx

Hi Ladies, I’ve been at work today. There’s a work gathering later but I don’t think I can bring myself to go, so tired!!

Hope you’re feeling a bit better today firstfreakout. Was there something in particular bothering you?

CockerMum, I hope the next few weeks go quickly. I have everything crossed for you.

Hi ladies!
I got a faint positive yesterday and then a clearer positive today with a CB test! Wahoo!

I had a MC last cycle at 5weeks+1day so I’m quite nervous and wary to celebrate too early but I couldn’t help myself from joining this thread! I’m on CD37 of a predicted 40 day cycle 11DPO.

Please can you put me down for 17th May? X

Congratulations, Sjf! I'll put you down for the 17th.
Ladies, if any of those change just give me a nudge!

Cockermum, keeping everything crossed for you too. If it's upsetting you or making you worry, could you pop down to your EPU or GP and ask them to check everything is okay? Gives you some piece of mind for the next 2 weeks until your scan <3

ABC, nothing in particular really. Just OH wanting to have sex and me feeling unattractive; struggling with my moods atm thinking it's hormones as I have good days and bad. I also had PTSD and a bit of PND following the birth of my son so I think thinking about the upcoming labour etc is setting it off a bit too. I've got a referral in for more counselling, though the waiting time might be longer than my pregnancy! Damn NHS.

I'm just updating my kiddo's photo albums in time for his birthday party on Sunday so the family can look through them. Thought that would be nice :D

Can I be added please? Edd is 8th May.
With my history probably end up being an April baby.
This baby was a shock!
No contraception for nearly 7 years... Trying for months and months... Nothing.
Sign up to go back to college and retrain as a midwife (ironic eh) and here I am lol
Someone had other ideas!

Congratulations and welcome! What a rollercoaster it’s been for you! Trying and not getting anywhere and then boom, out of the blue and you’re pregnant! Amazing! Xx

Hello, welcome and congratulations to the recent BFPs! How are you all feeling?

Firstfreakout, sorry you’re feeling that way. It’s a nightmare that you’re counselling waiting list is so long. Could you not see your GP in the meantime for some support?

I have booked my GP appointment for today to tell them I’m pregnant. Also mentioned a few days ago about being a bit short of breath and I’m going to speak to them about that too.

Let us know how your GP appointment goes. I’ve booked mine in for next Thursday when I’ll be 5 weeks pregnant. I don’t know what to expect because I’ve not had a viable pregnancy yet...

At the moment I’ve got a mix of emotions but I feel like I’m in denial. I’ve taken loads of tests which are gradually getting darker and others which are definite positives... as AF is only due on Thursday I don’t want to jinx anything so I’m not really celebrating yet and I’ve not told OH because it’s our anniversary on Friday so I’m going to surprise him with a digi test! We go away on Thursday so I just hope I can hold it in that long, otherwise it might come as an early pressie.

How are you feeling ABC? How far gone are you? X

Sjf, it’s hard at first isn’t it. I tested before my period was due and was quite nervous too. I felt a bit better when I was officially late. I’m 5+2 according to my dates, so still early days.
That will be a lovely surprise for your OH, hopefully you can keep quiet for 2 more days! :-) have you been trying for long?

I feel ok actually, not too many symptoms. I suppose that’s good but also a bit worrying because I just want to know everythibg is ok. I caved and bought another digital test today which says 3+ so I feel a bit more relaxed now, like things are progressing as they should.

Will report back later after my appointment.

Yes it is hard. I can't wait to do my digi test because last cycle that is when it felt 'real' when I saw the word 'Pregnant' on the test... That's good that yours is progressing! Everything will be fine, try not to worry. Everyone's symptoms are different and some get them earlier/stronger than others. Just be thankful morning sickness hasn't arrived yet haha.

We haven't been trying for long fortunately. I came off my pill in May after being on it for 14 years and so we are only on cycle 3. We got pregnant last cycle but it wasn't a sticky bean. This cycle has been one hell of a cycle because it took me until CD 26 to ovulate! I thought it just wasn't going to happen so we have BD regularly and woo hoo those swimmers of my OH's must be good ones haha :sperm:

Have you been trying long?

Oh wow, sounds like you’ve been through it even since May. I’m sorry for your loss. I really hope this is your sticky BFP.

We only tried for 2 months this time, it feels too good to be true to be honest. DD 2 took 2 years to conceive and clomid so I definitely wasn’t expecting to be lucky so quickly. I’ve just gotten back from my GP appointment. He said he thinks the shortness of breath is linked to low iron and has prescribed me iron tablets. Also, I asked for an early scan because I took some leftover clomid this cycle and they’ve told me to book in to see the midwife urgently to organise that. Hopefully they’ve sent a referral too because I’m not sure if the midwife will want to see me at only 6w, which is when my appointment is. I kind of thought the GP could refer for a scan so I’m not sure if this sounds right. Anyone any experience of this?

Digi moved up to 2-3 weeks today.

Feeling quite anxious as we have been trying for around 2 years and worry about every twinge etc!

Just registering with the doctor today as we have recently moved house!

Thanks ABC. From what Ive read on these forums, its the midwife who refers you for a scan so maybe she will do it for you? That's nice that you will get an early scan too because waiting until 12 weeks feels forever away for me... that will be in November!

Also, it is good that they have got to the bottom of what they think your shortness of breath is. Best to get these things checked out and sorted. Hope the iron tablets help! xx

Yay glad it is has progressed to 2-3 weeks for you!

I've not been trying long but I completely get the worrying about every twinge after my MC last cycle. Try to relax (easier said than done I know!) but worrying and stressing wont help you or the little one.

If you are worried about anything then make an appt with your GP (when you have one) for peace of mind. Otherwise, feel free to shout out and ask us lot, we will more than likely be going through the same things.

I've had quite a few cramps and nausea over the weekend but they have gone now... x

Apparently I'm 5 weeks pregnant today. I'm so not used to this lol.
My last pregnancy was nearly 7 yrs ago.
I felt a little sick this morning and my cereal gave me heartburn!
I'm still slightly freaking out!

What’s freaking you out hun? Are we able to help? Or is it just the shock? X

I think it's the shock, what's coming, I'm on constant knicker watch. We was trying for long with nothing.
Decide to go down a different path in life then I'm pregnant lol.
Iv had some mild cramping on and off and a tight feeling tummy. I think it's all normal and it's not terrible pain I just notice it.
Is their a fb page for May mummies like the other or do the few that are due in May chat here?

Hi,
I’m 5 weeks today too. I’ve had nausea for the past week and a half. Sore breasts and mild cramping. I think it is all normal, Body adjusting but it seems so early and surreal.

It would be good if there was a Facebook page for us x
